Just in case any of you missed this.

Angus Kinnear speaks about the summer window, Red Bull sponsorship and possible future ownership, financial constraints, 49ers investment and new West stand.

Decent watch guys. Well worth listening to and might put to bed some daily issues we discuss on here.

Only puts issues to bed if you believe everything he says. Having said that will have a watch over weekend thanks. One thing I’ve noted is we’re still not close to applying for planning permission for new west stand. Think it’s safe to say lads if my vintage will never get to sit in it

Thanks Emu, that debunks quite a bit of the transfer dialogue had on here, through the summer. Mainly Hamer wasn’t available to us at any price. Also Archie’s people insisted on the release clause as a condition of him signing the new longer contract.

Tbh I know some people won’t believe him, but this gives a excellent insight into the issues we face, think always comes over well in these interviews.

Not a case whether we believe his every word or not but he’s in a privileged position there’s
Nobody left at club in a position to argue any of his points

Don’t think I’m easily led. Just don’t believe all the clickbait rubbish that circulates round our club.

He was supposed to have been originally brought in to mastermind the ground extension given his previous experience. So seven years on he’s looking at planning. Hardly what you’d call a fast mover <laugh>

Going to be at least ten years then and maybe not started or finished. Plus lots of room for money men and feck the ordinary fans.

Got around to watching this in full earlier. What really struck me was, after the clamour for the club to tell fans what is going on, he gets called a liar doing so.

Who’d want to own a football club?

Yup Marcos. It’s a month since I listened to it but my recollection is I thought he came across well. He doesn’t need to do it.

He takes the p1ss out of himself, most of his explanations are credible… apart from the ‘targeting proven players with British/championship credentials’ bit. I think he’s as candid as he can be considering the job he does requires some obfuscation. Guy can’t win.

I was trying to write ‘obvious’ and was done by auto-correct - what does obfuscation mean guys? … save me the trouble of googling

To be evasive or give unclear answers (presumably deliberately) so your comment still works.
