I struggled through but was thoroughly bored. Haven't started 2 rumours that it's getting binned. Most expensive TV show ever, someone's getting sacked.
Whole season was pure ****e but knowing me I’ll still watch season two once it’s all aired just out of loyalty to the fact it’s LOTR.
Is it gash? I kinda imagine it is because it's based on the Silmarilion which kinda reminds me of the bible in that it's a bunch of loosely connected stories about a long dead people that doesn't really make sense. oh, and 3 body problem was far better than the book, shame the nano girl is so ****ing annoying.
They are trying to be too clever ... Tom Bombadil in the ****ing desert is too ****ing daft for words ...
I haven’t seen season two yet but season one just bored the ****e of out of me. Casting is **** as well. Not one character has stolen the show. All geeky looking melons.
That boring **** is in it? IIRC The House of Tom Bombadil is the single most boring chapter of literature I have ever read, and that I still resent every second of the time I gave in reading it both times I did. He can shove his ****ing tedious songs up his arse.
My , biggest problem , was every time one of the story threads started looking remotely interesting they promptly moved to another completely unconnected thread . Mrs is a LOTR freak and binned it off before the end of S1 and has no interest in the new one at all
Apparently Bezos bought the rights and commissioned it personally as a vanity project. Whatever the losses this thing's making, it's pocket money to him. We may yet be subjected to endure all 5 seasons of this steaming pile of luxury manure. Just cut to the huge battle depicted at the beginning of LOTR to see what a director can do for it with modern tech and a billion quid, and bin the rest.
Going to binge watch SAS Rouge Heroes. Seen previously, brilliant. Shows the early days of the SAS in North Africa.
You should all get on Snowfall, it's quality. 6 seasons about the rise of cocaine in LA. Can tell this is going to be right up there with the very best.
Good show hope there is more. They've recently done some ridiculous version of it in a film on Prime. Can't remember what it was called but I'm avoiding.
