Likely lose, still interesting to see how many changes the gaffer goes for. Best mates in the side from RM? Nah, he is just a geezer who demands pure football. May be a short stint from me back doing a match thread. Up the Saints. No politics. Just 3 points...
I'm not going to this one. What's the bets we unexpectedly get something and then I don't see us pick up a home point for months
Think we'll play well, maybe even take the lead and then Man Utd will come back into it and score a couple of times to beat us. RM and a section of the fan base will be happy because we played well and we'll hear the good old line of 'if we play like that against lesser teams, we'll be fine'. But then we'll play a lesser side, play **** and lose it 1-0.
I look at this fixture and realise that there are at least half a dozen "new" Saints players in our squad that I know very little about, I wouldn't recognise in the street and I have no idea about the best eleven, it takes time to get the jigsaw finished and there are still missing pieces, not a good way to be with a fixture of this importance.
Being level headed rational Saints supporters no countenance will be given to dishwasher emptying feats, laundry basket target accuracy or matchday attire. Will there?
Some Saints fans will be confident of a win, some will be convinced of a loss, some will be hoping for a spirited draw. After 90 minutes + 25 minutes of VAR there will be a result.
Sunday's papers will be filled with Saints sack Ten Haag shocker!!! As usual it'll all be Man U played bad rather than Saints stepped up.
Martin saying about how we didn't plan on having a squad this big makes me think next summer we will be reading about how a huge squad inflated our wage bill and we have to sell to settle the bill.
Did we ever get round to selling Tall Paul? I wonder if that means that Stewart is...close...to an appearance.
