A Heartfelt Message to all Public Sector 'Workers'

We were consulted after theyd announced it to the public!

Shouldnt it have been negotiated first?

 

I'd hate to think that 30 years down the line I turned up one day n told I was going to get half of what I was expecting pension when I couldve worked in the private sector and earned considerably more over them 30 years.

 

If consultation means "told this is happening end of story" you are right

 

Now the problem is the greed of poor people

 

It would be applalling - but then that is not what is happening is it? Everything already accrued is protected - we're just being asked to pay extra for future pension earnings. Seems pretty fair and reasonable to me.

 

What pisses me off is all the teachers who striked. Which means that parents have to take time off work (costing them money) coming up to Christmas.

Teachers are already well paid. Get ridiculously good pensions and are generally ****. (Only 3% outstanding according to Ofsted).

The free market place is the most efficient provider of services. Open the public sector up to competition and watch these lazy bastards jobs disappearing.

 

Don't forget that they are constantly on holiday.

 

This Give the lazy ****ers a kick up the arse.

 

Here is an example of how the public sector is a joke. In NI the bin men are getting time and a half pay today to empty the bins they missed yesterday because they were striking

Im only young so it doesn't really effect me but I feel sorry for people who have been in it years and where expecting a certain amount on retirement and are now been told they will have to work a year longer and won't get as much as they expected.

yes same as private sector wages but atleast in the private sector you get a higher wage for the extra year ya daft ****

 

But ****ing sad that it is true.

The thing is, I COULD empty my own bin and take it to the tip. I COULD teach (I have the qualifications). Your average bin man / teacher could almost certainly not do my job. But whereas, my pension has gone down, my salary in real terms (after inflation) has gone down, these ****ers are striking which means I lose money.

Selfish bastards who need to realise what is happening in the World.

 

Please explain "how you get a higher wage for the extra year".

Last I looked, teachers for example get above national average salaries and retire earlier.

I'm not sure where you found that out but I would be absolutely staggered if it were true - everyone I know who went on strike, from a range of jobs, lost their pay yesterday (quite rightly I might add) so this would be outrageous. Unfortunately, the unions have been so ******ed about the handling of the whole thing that everyone is now looking for anyway possible to undermine any case they may have had (not that they had a very strong one anyway) - and stories like this will be printed whether true or not just to add more resentment.
