A really good footballer tbh. Just guessing but Keane, who in my opinion was an awful coach, didnt do him justice. Shame really, as he had the attributes to be a modern day full back.
I read an interview with him a while back and there was an issue with Keane. I believe one of the clubs I had some involvement with at the time enquired about signing him a season or two back, which I would have loved. Carlos Edwards was playing in the same league at the time too.
Well all footballers in the lower divisions Can play football and with a bit of luck can make the grade at a higher level Not like us Joe Public
Oh come on Vince!! We all know that every single one of us can play better than the current squad. In fact the older I get the better I was!!
Yeah mate I’m a world beater now the ohhhh I have to get up Aw for them football days I wasn’t the best but loved it
No doubt he can do a promotion job. He has a track record. Whether he can do so with style is the question. I never disliked his dour mentality, just his stagnant style of football. Neil is an identikit ot him. We saw a coach in Johnson, in between the two, who was at other end of the spectrum. There has to be a middle ground. Players, imo, hate a defensive functional style. They also hate losing. Mowbray cracked it, Regis looks like he will too.
