I assume that your post is tongue in cheek - as opposed to obviously racist ! Womsoever that wishes to work ( regardless of race, creed or colour ) should be commended rather than vilified. - Think on the next time you visit your local corner shop. The owner might be charging you a few pennies more, but he's probably doing a 14 hour day ( and not claiming dole money )
I had to get out of my pit in the dead of night, then leave home in the dark and rain to get here before I could post this between occasional outbreaks of actual work.
What would you do without public sector workers? If you didn't have them then have a go at the following; You can take it in turns to sit at the airport stopping immigrants coming in. Knowing what a bunch of racists most 606ers are you could always adopt the shoot to kill policy on anyone darker than beige. Just dump your own waste out onto the streets, I'm sure the rats will eat it all up and your roads will be clean as can be by the next morning. How about you go round to your Grannies house and you wipe the dribble off her chin and wipe her ar*e, go on, after all family values are what it is all about. If the bloke next door decides to build a house in his garden without permission you can stove his head in with a brick, sorted. Broken leg? Not a problem, I'm sure there are plenty of pages on Google showing you how to dress and splint a compound fracture. Nurses? Waste of space, obviously. And who needs teachers when the wonderful world of Wikipedia can tell us so much? Noticed a funny smell from the flat next door? Not seen old Bert for a few weeks? Well feel free to kick his door down drag out the stinking corpse and while you are at it you can dig his grave and bury him too. That crack addict who got 5 years for breaking into your house and choring your flat screen, laptop and i-phone is currently strolling around, maybe you should have joined the community support group manning the local detention centre to stop him walking out. Tight feeling in your chest? You know, that same feeling that you get after eating too many kebabs? Well it isn't going away and you have started to go a bit grey around the lips and your arms have got pins and needles. Well I'm sure you will be ok getting on the bus down to the local hospital then, don't worry the ambulance service because let's face it, they are only glorified taxi drivers anyway. Work for longer. Pay more. Get less. It doesn't take a genius to work out this isn't going to be welcomed with open arms. Instead of digging out public sector workers how about grassing up all of your mates who work cash in hand and sign on? Why don't you say to your accountant "please make sure I pay every penny tax that I should" instead of trying to find every loophole to avoid paying what is due? Some of you working for bigger private firms may like to question where they bury their profits to avoid paying UK tax. And while you are at it maybe next time you are in your local bank trying to sort out your overdraft take a moment to think of the billions they lost us and the billions in profits they are still making. In it together? Kiss my arris.
Hands of our pensions! No one touching your pension, they just want you to contribute more ... like the private sector. They want you to retire in line with SPA ... like the private sector. They want to minimise your wage increases as they can't afford it as the countries in the ****... like the private sector. So ... what makes the public sector so special - **** all.
"Work for longer. Pay more. Get less. It doesn't take a genius to work out this isn't going to be welcomed with open arms. " No of course it isn't. The fact is, however, that public sector workers will still get a better pension in relation to their salaries than pretty much anyone else. It's not just a case of the current ecomnomic situation either - with people living for so much longer now the country simply cannot afford it. Nobody's expecting public sector workers to turn somersaults but equally they should, like everyone else, take some of the pain.
Pud and chippy The public sector have been given the easy life for too long. The general public have no sympathy for the strikers. Everybody is losing out. I've not had a wage rise since 2008, but I've been promoted twice in that time. Sack anyone who was on strike yesterday. Keep the people who want to work and give jobs in the public sector to people who have been made redundant from the private sector in the last 3 years.
On Ch4 news they had a protester speaking with a Cafe owner Protester was giving it "my pension shoudl be protected" etc and the cafe owner pipes up "I work 80 hours a week to keep this place afloat and I have no pension" So, who cares that 96% of public sector workers have a pension linked to salary that they have to contribute - on average - 6% whilst getting a 1% wage increase when less than 20% of public sector workers have a pension linked to salary and most have had no or little age increases since the who global cash crisis began! **** them!
Im supprised 4769 people took Jeramy Clarksons words seriously: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-15977813
The best I get is my employer matches my pension contributions up to 5% of my wage. I would love a pension that correlates to my final salary. I just can't believe how they expect this to be sustainable
Lies Private sector continue to get pay rises.and bonus payments that exceed the public sector And they also go on strike when unhappy The public sector pension is the only good thing about working in the public sector
Why do people keep comparing it to the private sector and saying that conditions there are worse, so they should be more like that? Why should everyone want worse conditions for more people? This whole situation was caused by the greed of rich people, who have been largely untouched by it all, in a lot of cases. Director's bonuses are up by nearly 200% in the last decade. Who do people have a problem with? Random ****s who don't want to have worse conditions than those that they've already got.
****ing idiots. There was a woman on the radio earlier saying that people should just be banned from voicing controversial opinions. It's not as if he was being serious he is just a **** stirrer nothing more.
I just don't agree with altering people terms and conditions without any consulatation whatsoever! If a private company just decided that they where going to alter contracts the would get sued to **** but because its the government they get away with it!
