    FT 1-1

Two average sides, two decent goals. A draw a fair result.

Small looks a shadow of the player he was last season. Our problem is that our midfield 5 is very slow & technically disjointed, and none of them are good enough passers to either find a team mate quickly, or create a free flowing move.

I would be amazed if we are in the top 6 at the end of the season.

Methven is a spiv …he’s sold certain fans a pup again ….the rest can already see this squad isn’t good enough for promotion.

Nathan Jones style of football will become a growing issue this season IMO.

Aneke rescues a point with a collector's piece reminder of what he's capable of.

He's done his work for this season now.

We were solid but powderpuff. Aneke and Campbell made the difference today. Ahadme and Godden were totally ineffective. Aneke’s goal was class and shows what he can do.

I was talking to a Charlton fan earlier who claims “ITK” knowledge and that he’s been told that Jones is working on instructions to a “two year plan”. This season is all about steadying the ship, putting the foundations in place, and having a respectable league finish. The Board will then allegedly invest in quality creative players next Summer with a view to promotion in 2026.

There are many holes in this idea, if it’s true, not least that our fanbase declines every year we are in Div 3, and Methven assured us when he was rattling the begging bowl for Season ticket money that the SMT wanted promotion this year.

My only response to the ITK fan was that we would be playing our home and away games in Orange, and cheering on the Hatters not the Addicks by 2026, given the way things are going.

    I’d start A.Campbell at Shrewsbury.

The Coventry / Berry / Docherty midfield is starting to remind me of the Ulvestad / Crofts / Foley midfield under Russell Slade.

This made me laugh out loud.

Bullyboy Charlton fans picking on a young 23 year-old who gave 100%. Now why doesn't that surprise me?

The abuse is pathetic to be honest with you.

This is from the King of the Bully boys. Can he not see the irony of his statement?

Today was emotional as a rare visit from Brazil. However, this was s***, like Last week at Reading.
Ahadme cannot get slaughtered, his service is non existent.

Ahadme missed a sitter, and it’s a basic requirement to be able to stay on your feet.

Nathan Jones made some strange comments post match, including that Rotherham were a nasty niggly side who continually slowed the play down. He’s correct, but that’s when you need that flash of quality to create something out of the ordinary.

10 points isn’t a bad return from the opening games. Think we’re a tad fortunate to have that many but have them we do.
A draw was a fair result. Ahadme is poor isn’t he? I know the service is desperate but l don’t get the run run run all game thingy. Quality needed too. When a sitter arrives take it!

Appalled by the service in the bar under the covered end - dishing out pints from under the counter that they livened up , headless chickens when it came to changing the barrel , don’t think I’ll be buying too many beverages in the near future !

One kiosk open in the West Upper block Q area, two people serving and taking money. At one point the queue must have been 30 deep.

Don’t tell me you paid £7 for that flat filth - it was being poured straight from cans last season.

Perhaps you might consider purchasing the occasional lounge pass and portion of chips, as we attempt to land a top half finish ?
