Kids today will never know what a lovely and unserious time we had with hindsight from about 1995-2007. Around this time football became all too serious and last of the 90s old school, get bladdered on a Tuesday after training types were gone.

Not much of a celeb even by the low standards of this thread but Henk Potts who did the very random and unnecessary business/finance updates on Talksport back in the day has died. Only 50. Very funny bloke (then, less so now).
They played one of his clips with Alan Brazil in clips of the week yesterday. He was really deadpan. Can't believe he was A, only fifty, and B, now dead. Didn't Brazil meet him when out on the piss down Canary Wharf and invite him to do a slot? Pointlessly talking about share prices and such like.
Not listened to it but got the podcast so will do. There was a brilliant one where Brazil explained he understood there was a recession because he’d noticed Langham’s was quieter during the week.
It was brilliant. Wasn’t about the Finance stuff at all really though a generation of tradesmen knew random nuggets of info about the strength of the Yen or global oil prices. A very lighthearted five minutes on a Friday making fun of Brazil’s exploits or winding up Ronnie Irani. Now it’s probably a fat lesbian saying Emma Hayes should be the next England manager (probably, don’t listen much any more live).
The best show is H&J, I catch that on way home on a Friday. Brazil still does some morning stuff, but not every day. And it's not as good as when he was with Irani. Ally McCoist is also good value, mostly.
