I know what you mean, 1.6 million costing 8 billion per year means just £5,000 each. The true figure is likely to be much higher.
You can't stop it. It's not how the world works. It's peanuts compared to what the previous lot wasted anyways. Allowing asylum seekers to work is an easy fix. The current government are trying to process the massive backlog the previous lot built up, their aim was to make the stopmes of this country get upset about it. The world is veering to the right/far right in a dangerous way, manipulated by a handful of evil rich ****s with the power to do so. I get lots of abuse on here for standing up for what is right. The internet seems to have broken people, or sheeple as they should be known, to the point where people defend Hitler and laugh about innocent, desperate people dying attempting to cross the Channel for a better life. It's ****ed.
