They are daft for paying prices like that. My local has put the rum I like up to £4.25. I stick to beer, used to love a chaser with my beer, and if I want tequila or rum drink it at home. Though only drink at home when watching football on TV.
The promotion of healthy activities for children should be of paramount importance to any government... Understandable then that I vented my spleen at the Scottish Parliament when they introduced free bus travel for anyone aged 5-22 in Scotland.Instead of walking home from School now they gather en-masse at the bus stop outside the local high school and pack the buses out to travel home(some of them as little as a one bus stop journey). Utter incompetence at it's finest!!!
Keeping warm. I can afford it but won’t pay ridiculous prices. Six Krakens in a pub and I can buy a bottle with 32 measures in it to drink at home. Stick to beer when socialising. Talking of beer, next time you are in Brid try 3Bs micro pub tucked away in a side street in centre of town. Good selection of 4 beers, which change weekly, and a large choice of ciders, gins and bottled beers.
Pints of all beer and cider have finally breached £5 in my local. They usually have **** beers on too. £5 for a Banks best bitter who the Fack is paying that?
To be fair it was some expensive, unbranded, porcelain bottle sitting on the top shelf in the middle of the bar that piqued his interest - it looked more like a bloody urn - and he was already pissed enough to order a couple of glasses of it. In general, Hull's one of the cheaper nights out around here.
There are some good, but pricey tequilas. Waste of time when you are pissed as you won’t appreciate any subtle difference from cheaper ones.
Odd, I thought Freddie Frinton* was from Grimsby. * In real life he was teetotal, and that's no joke. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Yesterday afternoon I went out to a nice wine bar with 2 colleagues….we stayed for 1 hour, so a couple of drinks each, house wine nothing flash, no food….i nearly fell off my chair when I was given a bill of nearly £130. Even by usual west London prices that is ****ing ridiculous….we tried to find a cheaper bar after that!!!
Definitely smoother than say a Jose Cuervo, but still tasted far too much like tequila for my liking.
Definitely a like it or loathe it. I like neat tequilas whilst the wife doesn’t like neat tequila but likes margaritas.
