Exactly what I said the other night when you got your panties in a twist <laugh>

I think the club will focus on Trent, VVD & Salah now the window is shut. Since VVD and Salah have said no talks have taken place so far, I can't see how it can be otherwise (unless we just don't bother)

The downside to celebrating his birthday every day for a month. He ages 30 years each calendar year.

    Jan 1st through Feb 14.
    June 1st through July 14.

Thats 12 weeks. Approx 20% of the year. Let internationals have those two windows and leave club football alone the rest of the year... Stop with all these interruptions every few games.

look at the sheer number of games that we have to play after the break - we lose two weeks of scheduling and when we get back it’s 3 games in any 10 day period (ish). This is why squads like ours will trip up and the big spending, deep squads normally prevail. Football is slowly killing football <doh>

    Two injuries already.

Macallister not training with Argentina but of course will play anyway and be out.

Elliott returned from u21s as well.

    Not rocket science.

When you look and see the reserved are and I'll say them again Endo and tsimikas who would seriously struggle to get a game off most of the lower half teams as first choice then you know exactly what will happen

ironically, both players did ok for us last season so am not slaying them individually at all…..we know they’re not A team players but we are competing with squads who can put two A teams together - we cannot in midfield and defence imo.

Slot is going to have to rotate players a lot to keep them fit. He’s already shown that he will swop big players mid game, which I think is great….we cannot run them into the ground early this season.

    Yes they did ok.

    Just OK. Grand. Lovely.

The other players are at times carrying them.

Tsimikas for example was a ****ing disaster v Atlanta and was subbed off at ht.

Endo did his thing and at times was fine and others not fine.

That's all good until you want to play 2 games a week all year and have to use them in the cl and league.

    The lfc second string

    Kelleher
    Bradley quansah gomez tsimikas
    Endo jones
    Cheisa Elliott gakpo
    Nunez

Use one or two as a sub and it's fine. Some are really pushing their direct rival. Some are nowhere near that.

Have to use 4 and all of a sudden it's not so rosy.

We will have 3 or 4 injuries for most of the season. Every club does.

If we have jones and Endo in midfield it'll be tough. You can carry tsimikas at lb and we are already seeing the fairly regular subs being gakpo for Diaz and Bradley for trent. Nunez for Jota less and Elliott for szobo only once.

It's all about quality or the drop in quality that comes.

    Kelleher
    Bradley
    Quansah
    Elliott
    Gakpo

    Probably all fine.

Gomez for vvd is a massive drop but thst wouldn't be the first move anyway.

Endo trying to play like slot wants has not been pretty at all. He will try his best though.

Jones for macca is a massive drop. I'd suspect it'd be jones and macca together as first move by slot as well not Endo.

Nunez for Jota seems to be an issue right now too. A slow slow start for our lovable idiot.

Cheisa will take time to get up to fitness so we will see. A bargain only if he can get there.

Tsimikas is an odd one. He can take a set piece and he can make the odd run but he is one scary ****er positionally so putting him in a line where he has to go from out to in and then back out again as the line moves up the park seems a bit much and discipline wise I'd be interested to see if he can hold in and not just go at the ball

I suspect Nunez may start against Forest given his international suspension. Hopefully Slot can work with him during this international break. Either way it'll be interesting to see how Slot rotates his squad. Klopp was generally great when it came to rotation.
