I've seen the documents and emails between kingspan and the contractor's regarding the usage of substandard materials and it's actually disgusting, they knew it was dangerous and still they went ahead and put it on.

Jail for all of em is the only justice and we won't get it unfortunately.

For me it's 'manslaughter' not intentional but they are still culpable...

    I disagree.

If I fix your car and knowingly use dodgy parts and then the car blows up with you inside because of those dodgy parts, that's murder imo

Murder generally needs an element of premeditation - would be difficult to argue that in court ...

No it doesn't, murder doesn't have to be premeditated.

You can also be guilty of murder without an intent to kill, just an intent to seriously harm.

Which still wouldn't apply here but worth correcting.

For what it's worth I think it's murder. They knew the dangers and ignored them. Anyone responsible for the systematic dishonesty and any ministers that ignored it, need to be in a cell. In a day and age where we can lock climate activists up for 5 years, someone needs to be doing some serious time inside, I don't care who they are or how sorry they be, lock them up. The cops need to be all over this.

I think the heaviest sanction you would get is corporate manslaughter, but i doubt it will come.

This sentence sticks out for me in this report:

'It's a serious problem for the whole country when Govt invites corporations to write their own rules'

and this is what worries me about people like Trump, Farage etc. Because they and their ilk want to push for massive deregulation in the private sector that is 'hindered by central govt'. Which in reality means cutting corners to save money and increase profit.

    You've missed the point.

It was Govt giving corporations carte blanche to write their own rules which led to the Grenfell disaster. This is the mantra of people like Trump and Farage, to massively deregulate private corporations and the rules that govern them to operate safely.

I'm not saying those two had anything to do with Grenfell, I am saying that the conditions that they lobby for and if in power would enact, would lead to the same approach to cut corners, save money and ditch regulations that are there to keep consumers safe, for the pursuit of more profit.

I'm not missing any point, you are just being a prick, Trump and Farage had nothing whatsoever to do with Grenfell.

No, there is no ffs about it. Blame the people within the British government over the decades as mentioned in the report, blame the corporations also mentioned. Blame any individual that chose to overlook the risks, feel completely free, but at least blame people based on fact not on your political bias.

If you'd read what I wrote properly, you will notice that I'm not blaming Trump or Farage for Grenfell, I am pointing out that the deregulation that they lobby for is exactly the same type of conditions that were allowed to persist, where in the report it it is cited as a serious problem for the whole country when Govt invites corporations to write their own rules

Nope, Trump and Farage had nothing to do with Grenfell and to try and make any suggestion in the past, present or future about the two is ludicrous as I said bordering on callous to make some sort of political point in your warped mind.

I'm very certain that Trump and Farage had nothing to do with the deaths of 72 people. Maybe you would like to come back with some individual names of whom were actually responsible for what happened.

Yes I am very certain of that too, because that's not the point I'm making.

The point that you have missed.
