Cheers kidda. I really want this to happen. Its just too right for us to bugger up this time.

Everything points to MoN and the txt I got last night late (from a decent source) said barring any hitches, its his job 100%.

    Hughes is plan B.

I guess it just depends if he wants it now. My worry is he will turn it down because Short will not give him a big enough transfer/wage budget

Which other club needing a manager is about to offer him an unlimited budget and millions to spend on wages? Bolton? Blackburn (depsite their wealth, the Venkys arent parting with it are they)? Wigan? Wolves?

There isnt a better opportunity out there for him to consider and we are bigger as a club and in potential than any of those mentioned. Its completely right for him and us mate and its a two way thing not all about us going there with the begging bowl.

There are no other clubs in search of a manager and dont forget, at 59 years old he may not get a better chance himself to come back into the game at a potentially big club.

ES has to show real intent then...will he?

Prem league news just say Cest's favorite choice is number 1 target.

I'm interested to know who your source is mate, obviously well connected to O'Neill and not to Sunderland seeing as you had no idea about when Bruce was getting chopped.

Also, I have a friend who works for Will Hill's call centre who told me that he's just seen £10k dumped on Bob Bradley, but it's probably just some rich kid trying his luck at a £330k jackpot.

You just never know mate, that may not be as foolish as it first appears.

It doesn't matter who the bookies make favourite that is merely an indication of the way the people are betting. In any sport, as you all know, favourites don't always win.

Its a very good friend with NE local media connections. I'm no bullshitter and treat specualtion with a caution - I have been caught out once before but trust the lad who told me this one. BTW, I still do believe that up until yesterday, Bruce was still in the frame and something at the meeting thwey had yesterday triggered all this off. Whether Bruce just didnt fancy it; Short didnt fancy him from what was said or they just came to a mutual decision. Whichever, I think it was delaying the inevitable keeping him and they must have come to that conclusion as well.

Either way, MoN IS the number one choice I am led to believe and Hughes a very able and credible plan B.

For me it would be Hughes as first choice but I wouldn't be unhappy with MON

O Neil walked out on Villa because he was disatisfied with the budget for new players. Martin O Neil is a spender and mostly his buys for Villa were poor. Have Sunderland got the money to satisfy O Neil's spending plans? Why is O Neil such a popular choice? He has done nothing other than to waste money on inadequate players. Hughes at least is able to work to a budget and rescued Blackburn from almost certain relegation when he took over from Souness.

Methinks your tellin Porkies Terry......id be very surprised if Willy Hill would accept that bet...even on a rank outsider like Bob Bradley (but then as a skunk in disguise you always were partial to WUM tendancies)
