Watching the game last night I struggled to see just what Sunderland's formation was , for me far too many players were square pegs in round holes simply to accommodate Wilson Isidor, the lad looked very impressive and is already a big favourite , and made MoM above , however no goals or assists came from his display. I'm not knocking the lad and look forward to his step up to the first team squad. However Tommy Watson playing in his correct position for the last quarter of the game scored a superb goal and laid a chance on a plate to Toots who somehow managed to miss , to be fair to him also I'm not sure wide right is his best position either.
Good game that, hopefully see some more first team lads playing. The 21's are a good fix I think for when you're bored.
I might be wrong but the European competition doesn't allow over 21 players in the same way PL2 does. Obviously that doesn't stop a lot of the first team lads playing
The likes of Bennette should be in the squad you would imagine, be interesting to see if they'll include any of: Ba, Hjelde, Zak Johnson, Aleksic or Abdullahi (not sure if any of those are injured).

Bit better than that mate, kept me sane last season watching the U21,s with some thrilling games and quality football, these young lads are a credit to the club and a bonus for supporters.
