It was a great win yesterday but I'm trying not to get too carried away with how good Gravenberch's performance was. I was relishing a potential battle between him and Mount. Say what you want about Mount but one thing he can do is press, but obviously he was injured. They've signed Ugarte who I don't know much about but he can't be much worse than Casemiro was yesterday. That meant it was a relatively straightforward afternoon for us, and on that evidence, bigger tests will come.
Diego said we won our cup final. Just cos he stormed off in a fit of pique after saying it doesn't man anything
I think a lot of pundits are being harsh on Man Utd tbh. I thought they played well initially, they probably edged the opening twenty minutes. They definitely fell apart later on though. I'm also surprised that no one has questioned the second goal and continually criticise Casemiro for an error when Diaz challenged from behind and didn't touch the ball, I thought it should have been a foul. Not complaining though, obviously
The replays very clearly show thst he got the ball cleanly. I wonder tjet last night watching highlights on motd2 but they clearly show the ball being won clean
I would like to discuss macallister next. He looked very tired by the end. I don't think slot has subbed him at all so far. He came.back after copa win within a week and a half and played preseason games. Now he will go off to play 2 games one friday, One Tuesday. I think we should be resting him v forest personally. I think this is where we start playing 2 a week and no rest is easy but this is one we really need to be looking at as he will burn out.
