Whilst we are playing at about 65% of our capability isn't it refreshing to see us winning whilst not playing well? That's been the state of play for the so called 'big clubs' for years so perhaps we are now starting to play like a 'big club' and infuse that mentality. With so much improvement to come (clearly), no European football so less games and players to return from long term injury this season could yet be a good one. PS- Roly is thread banned
When I saw the thread title I thought it was about Chippy finally getting some success with trying to pull at the Bigg Market.
I think Howe has addressed something... last season we had one way and the side wasn't capable of shutting up Shop. It appears they now have another way of playing.
and look who he passed it too.. Murphy in his prime would have seen the big lights and went for goal himself but instead laid it on a plate for Isak to tap home that's coaching
Murphy indeed did the right thing.. isak didn't earlier on although that was a stonewall penalty that never even got looked at.
there was a couple of incidents that took place over the weekend with VAR not looking at it have they changed the tolerance for fouls this season ?? Chris Wood handball - which would have been given last year Isak - player kicks Isak and not the ball which would have been a pen last year their was a few others as well
They make the rules confusing on purpose.. imo they just need a to get back to a referee using common sense. If it's a mile offside or no contact pens var can be used maybe.
Still seem to have a bit of a summer hangover, but the results have been great. Schar back after the break, Tonali to play more regularly, Botman back soon hopefully, Wilson about to return, and of course the existing players playing better. Spurs sucked btw, was fairly comfortable by end.
