I can see why Bayern were willing to let de Ligt and the other one leave for a cut price now. For the first 30mins I thought de Ligt looked decent, but as soon as they started losing he turned into a loose cannon, all over the place losing his head and then should have been sent off for the lunge in the 2nd half. The other guy just looked lost when it came to defending.
i for one have really enjoyed today* a nice comfortable win v the RS another clean sheet and just cooked a very nice cod and prawn risotto washed down with a bottle of Gavi <burp> top marks to Mo and Gravenberch only downside was Nunez . *apart from the dog having stomach problems
In what way was Nunez a downside? Nunez didn’t piss about trying to look clever and not score when all it needed was to put your foot through it first time like Szlobozlai did.
Negative is sifing with 'were ****ed, they're leaving because we've not spoken to them' over reality; you don't know what's happened or happening
Well are you now called vvd and salah liars? They've told.us what's happening right now. Some folk round here will argue til the cows come home until everyone is singing kumbaya together. Again where did is say we are ****ed? Where did i say they are definitely leaving? I'd much rather be talking about gravenberch right.now but can't cos people won't have any realism spoken at all
If this isn't the new live, laugh love thing chavs have on their living room walls. I want to know why!
Obviously a great result and a very good performance, but that game could and probably should have been a lot closer. The xg was 1.4 v 1.7. Zirkzee had two sitters in the 6 yard box, one he headed straight at Alison and the second he somehow hit wide. Then again, we should have had a 4th when Slob should have just poked the ball in first time rather than take 2 touches and not even get a shot off.
The two zikzee sitters were after the game was over and we were just seeing it out. The one header i dont think he could not do better off that ball to get it further from alisson given the cord he got. What we are seeing is a refusal to just go for a half chance bit a wish to got for the extra pass to really open it up. 11 shots and 3 on target and 3 goals fails to tell the story. Like szobo inexplicably failing to bother to shoot at all for example. If we were pegged back I'm sure we would redouble the efforts again. At 3-0 a few younger mancs were trying stillnand we were not exactly really doing the controlling thing so.much as clearing it a lot.
It’s funny and obviously an easy comparison betwene slot and ten Haag both having come from Dutch clubs. But despite slot seemingly being able to implement a style on players within a couple of months, it’s good that the levels above (despite us not buying many) aren’t panic buying in same way United are. Slot will obviously have a say but he isn’t just demanding we go and buy his ex players. We could have gone for minteh as a right wing option, we could have gone for bijlow who almost went to saints as back up keeper but weren’t any real talk. On the other hand, United lined up with an ex Ajax GK, RB, CB, CB today along with a Dutch CF brought in for Ten Haag. It seems he had a style at Ajax (I don’t know enough to know if he actually implemented that style or if he inherited it and just carried it on) and instead of being able to train that into his players, he’s just trying to buy anyone that previously played that way in that team in the hope they’ll recapture some of that form.
Tbf, those stats are misleading. Think both those efforts were at 3-0 so it’s not like one goes in and it’s a totally different game. Add in Szobo tap in that he ****ed around with and could easily have had 4. We were clinical with our chances but until we were 3 up united didn’t threaten at all and only created once we’d taken our foot off and game was pretty much won.
