Sky Bet EFL TV selections confirmed up to early January TV Announcements 30 Jul Words: EFL Share The EFL and Sky Sports have confirmed all broadcast-selected Sky Bet EFL matches for the period up to the FA Cup third round, the weekend of 11/12 January 2025. As per our previous commitment these selections have been published before the start of the EFL season, ensuring Clubs are now in a position to advise supporters of the changes to be made well in advance of the fixtures taking place. Selections have been made by Sky after liaising with the respective Clubs, relevant authorities and the League. This new notice period is a significant improvement on the previous position, which saw five weeks' notice given across the majority of the season. By selecting TV picks early and giving much more notice, fans will be able to plan with more certainty when making travel and hotel arrangements. While some fixtures have been moved in order to be broadcast, during a regular weekend, 26 of the 36 matches across the three divisions have not been moved from the Saturday 3:00pm kick off slot. The League is also committed to greater parity in the number of times that Clubs are selected for TV coverage across all competitions, with Clubs set to feature more than 20 times per season on Sky Sports. Broadcast selections are subject to change due to fixture rearrangements in relation to international call-ups and Cup ties. Left & Right hands not working well ! https://www.gillinghamfootballclub.com/news/fixture-date-change In the (useless) link I have given (( from the Official site, 30th., July )), it does nothing to dispel any confusion....if you read it all, we are told that the Cheltenham, Bromley and Chesterfield games, as well as the Wimbledon game, is available on Sky !!!
In brb's 'link' , the EFL have used a word : Parity.... to suggest that clubs would be screened an equal number of times.... As I see it, in the period up to January ( FA Cup weekend ), I can't see any other L2 club - other than Gillingham who won't have a Home game screened. .... it gets much worse in the Championship..... West Brom feature in 11 games... Leeds, Middlesborough & Sheffield Utd feature in 9 games...Sunderland in 8..Burnley & Sheffield Wed in 7 ......... and yet Millwall only in 3 games - where's the parity in that ?
It confused me at first. My end interpretation of it, eventually, was there is going to be a new channel named Sky + Therefore three of the games will be shown on the new channel, and one game will be shown on one of the current channels. I'm hoping I can get it on NOW TV the new channel, it appears write ups suggest you can, but seeing is believing. Expect lots of moaning if I can't get the new channel
Yup, again it confused the hell out of me, I gave up trying to work it out in the end lol, whoever wrote it, wrote it from a Championship perspective and completely ignored L2 fans...I think we need more information but in braille this time.
I've got Now TV and I've found there is a one minute demo on there on how to get the new SKY+ It seems straight forward... Go the HOME page Select SPORT Scroll down to COMPETITIONS Select EFL Scroll down to LIVE LEAGUE TWO Select GILLS Only thing I have noticed, the teams on the usual main channels have a play button, but the ones such as Gills which is on SKY+ currently don;t, but streaming I believe starts 10 mins before the game kicks off. Your team will be screened 20 times a season, but I'm not sure at the moment how out of the 46 games, how we will know which ones are, and which ones are not. I know the above does not help those overseas. If you want audio passes they can be found on the main club website here: https://www.gillinghamfootballclub.com/ If you are like me and had a previous account here, they will request to send a code to your email, to retrieve your old account over to this newly designed site. Once you enter the code, you can either choose your old password or renew your password at that point.
Initially it looks like all mid week games are being shown live which will be about half of the 20, I think all first and last games, if the 20 also includes League Cup and football league trophy games that will get fairly close to the 20 with just 2 or 3 weekend games needed and I think the Gills have 2 weekend games scheduled in the first half of the season.
Gills on TV again this Tuesday 3rd Sept, at home to Peterborough in the EFL Trophy. We seem to be televised for all the home games, would be nice to see a few away games. Oh nearly forgot to mention it's a 7pm KO
Ok just seen on SKY+ I didn't think they were going to have any televised games at 3pm, but I just realised it's international week....oh well I'm happy nonetheless.
