In terms of footballers and their style of play?

My son said Foden, but I disagree, I think he's like Brian Robson.

Box to box tough tackling passionate leader.

Too young to be able to compare to Robson but would agree the young Aaron Ramsey a good recent comparison

Don Hutchison that's Don at his peak and Rigg at 17, Rigg will go on to be much better injuries permitting.

He reminds me of N'Golo Kanté.
A combative player who gets up and down the pitch, with great passing ability.

Agree. Just think he recieves and gets going like Silva. Lefty and low centre of gravity too. Both like a bit bite too.

Reminds me of Chris Rigg. I’m not sure I’ve seen a player like him. His speed of thought is immense.

I can agree to elements of all those names above, and considering the calibre of them all what a stunning thing to see for a 17 year old.

Him and Jobe are just ridiculous for their ages.

There's a thread over the road where he's been likened to Scholes, Gerrard and Davids. On a podcast earlier I heard Roy Keane. Then here we have Robson, Ramsey, Hutchison, Kante, Bernardo Silva, David Silva, Foden/Ball.

So many different types of player, I'm not sure people know what he is just yet! The only thing I'm comfortable saying is that he's the best player to come through our academy in my lifetime.

I think we may have the balance of youth and experience right, those two will not let up and torment the opposition, we've come on a long way. I remember a central midfielder for us called Callum McManaman, he was like a dog chasing a balloon and the balloon outwitted him.

    Without a doubt mate.

The way he’s taken it all in his stride as well, that magical thing, mentality.

His family sound like absolute rocks behind him and have kept him right. He is just ridiculous the kid.

He's only just 17, the only 2 players I can think of that were playing first team football and been one of most influential on a game are Pele and Rooney, possibly Owen however I don't think he really controlled games as such.
This kid is that special it's scary, I just hope we can keep him for as long as possible

I fear ‘as long as possible’ may be until next summer. If he carries on like this, the best clubs in the world will be very serious about him for some mega money. The kid is absolutely ridiculous.

    This for me.
The shape and poise of a footballer has always been a thing for me. Always loved an elegant player. I was never a huge Cattermole fan because, despite his effectiveness, I thought he was an ugly player. Could always recognise a player from the shapes they made when "addressing" the ball. Rigg is Rigg for me. Its possible to compare elements of him to a variety of players but he doesn't remind me of anyone. Some players do- I always thought Arnautovic tried to move like Ibrahimovic- but Chris Rigg is Chris Rigg for me.

It’s gonna be City, Arsenal or Liverpool.

He will end up at one of those 3.

Hopefully we get 2 years, and north of £50million out of the lad.
