CHRIS SUTTON HAS GONE FOR NARROW AWAY WIN. 1: 2
    Old Trafford, 16:00

Manchester United got the better of Liverpool on a couple of occasions last year. They won in the FA Cup and you're sort of scratching your head about how they won that particualar one.

Liverpool under Arne Slot are not so sort of heavy metal.

Whatever I predict about Manchester United I get them wrong, I'm just resigned to the fact I cannot predict a Manchester United result.

I'm going to say Liverpool to beat them.

    Sutton's prediction: 1-2

Adam F's prediction: We drew 2-2 here in April last season, on a day when everything went wrong for us but I think we will get the job done this time. Whatever happens, though, I just hope we do better than the last time I did these predictions, on the last day of the season in 2015. It was Steven Gerrard's final game for us so I said I hoped he would score the winner. He did score - but we lost 6-1 to Stoke. 1-2

If you're of the persuasion that not that much has changed under Erik ten Hag since last season then the underlying statistics from the two Premier League meetings between United and Liverpool have to come into your thinking when making a decision on how this encounter will go.

The aggregate score over the two games may have read 2-2 (0-0 at Anfield and 2-2 at Old Trafford) yet Liverpool won the shot count (62-12), corner count (23-6), expected goals battle (6.06-1.4) and had more touches in the opposition box (109-29). The 17/20 with Sky Bet on the away win is going to lure many in based on those numbers.

A quirk regarding the Arne Slot era so far has been the dramatic contrast between halves, with Liverpool creating significantly more after the break with just 0.81 worth of expected goals in the first half and 4.5 in the second.

He may want to turn this into another 45-minute match where Liverpool keep things very controlled and quiet by negating United's weapons on the counter-attack. If so, a low scoring first half could play out and the 3/1 with Sky Bet for the game to be 0-0 at the break looks interesting.

    SCORE PREDICTION: 1-2

I'm not making too many demands from the team against United.

Just score more goals than they do. That's all I ask.

We need to win and open 2 points lead over Arsenal and put pressure on Manchester City.

See Utd have chosen not to go with Maguire, could prove costly at set pieces as he is good in the air, albeit slow on the ground. If Nunez gets on with his height I bet they bring Maguire on to counter. Rest of our front starting line are not that big, although Jota gets up high for his size.

Looks like utd are going full on hit on the break with that line up.

They have been bringing de ligt on for maguire so no shock tin hat has finally got his way to get maguire out of his side.

I think utd will be deep and looking to go with garancho and rashford here.

I think we can control it as certain mancs just won't put the shift in to compete, but I think we will be done on the break

    Really like this kit.

    It's classic.

So what if Nike are stupid enough to disrespect their own brand.
