Look how many crosses we put into the box today . Solanke scores at least one of them and I’ll stand by that.
If only player exits improved a team, eh? Just honestly no idea the thought process of that summer window. No idea at all. It’s as if we’re putting all our eggs on the future being great but if we neglect the present we won’t have that future.
Same old shiete, slightly different depth sadly, all Newcastle had to do was defend properly and wait for the inevitable gifts, they did not even have to play that well, I`m sure I`m not the only one who thought we would go on to lose after dominating for so long, standard fare unfortunately. I am seeing no improvement and the same mistakes made over and over again, nothing will change until everything changes.
You're right. We will see some good results against the so called "bottom half" teams but we will get spanked somewhere along the way I'm afraid. Still too flat for me, especially in the middle but at least we tried to not keep walking the ball into the net all the time! Caught out today by two stupid defensive errors and if we had a decent striker on the pitch it may well have gone the other way. Bring on the NLD....
Did you not see him against Lesta? He was awful. Last season was a one off for him. He’s a bang average player and not even as good as Richarlison.
With Spurs, it feels like the future never arrives. People saying be patient and give time etc. Feel like we’ve been saying the same for decades.
I'm reserving judgement until Christmas, as I feel he deserves to have a chance but I am not overwhelmed with confidence....
A lot more positives to take than negatives today. Dragusin did well coming in and again, plenty of good up top but missing the striker solanke will be for us. Gets what has become a bogey ground out the way early and we’ll win a lot more games than we lose playing like that.
That's what happens when you bolster your squad with mediocrity. Let's be honest here!. Had Spurs bought an Eze or a Toney they win that game today, comfortably,
The thing is, for the money wasted on Solanke and Odobert- could have got Eze and Toney anyway. I’ll be honest I didn’t want Toney but Eze would have been class.
Certainly since the late 80's I think! The club has been such a mess since that CL run. Unfortunately, I've been following them for faaaaar to long to lose faith now. Just another season of pain to endure...
Until I see them actually go out to win then I’ll be critical. By all means go and sign youngsters with potential but not instead of ready made players. The club are spending big but making the wrong signings (again)
Eze isn't coming to Spurs in our current state, don't be silly. He turns 27 at the end of the season so has one more big 4-5 year contract in his prime years, and that sure as hell isn't going to be to a team that doesn't win trophies and can't offer CL football.
You’re bonkers if you don’t think Eze joins us if we paid up. He takes that move all day long, all day.
His career record shows he is. 1 half decent season is his whole life at the top and Spurs made him their record signing, it’s horrific.
Why wouldn’t he leave Palace for Spurs? At least ask the question anyway. Instead Spurs go for a Burnley player which none of us heard of before he signed.
