Again that 2nd goal has knocked the stuffing out of them. Almost seem resigned to losing this...

I think it's clear where the problem is and it isn't in the dugout.

 

20 attempts, 1 goal and it's an OG. 3 attempts on target, 2 goals. Our defending is so, so risky.

Agree...maddison is a shadow of the player pre injury, son is so hit and miss and kuluchevski is so off the boil

Just constantly passing from side to side as Newcastle sit with 2 lines of defence. Eventually realise we can’t find a way through and then play a lofted ball into the box which is headed away. Rinse. Repeat.
So one dimensional.

I’m searching for positives, but I’m struggling so far to see how we’ve made any improvement on last season, so far.

 

We are so slow to get bodies into the box. Good play from Johnson but....

It is though. Sign better players that can score and have squad depth. Work on defending and not be obsessed with a tactic that worked in Japan, Australia and Scotland but clearly won’t work in the Premier league.
