The Millar chance which started with Pandur passing the ball out to Jones is what I want to see much more of We nearly lost the ball as well so it certainly seems more like the high risk / heart attack football we were expecting
In 4 games we have scored 1 non penalty goal And that was a wondergoal from coyle Which wont happen again probably Thats shocking
Both came from one academy player as opposed to the whole team. Jarvis doesn't come on yesterday, we don't concede those goals...
And if walter ate frosties in the morning Hed of started burstow who would have scored a first half hat trick You cant live on ifs and buts
Oh dear god Is everyone Coyle blind?? He went by lewie who’s job it is to stop crosses FACT But let’s try and destroy another young kid Ffs
Mcloughlin was mega poor for their first goal Crosses will come in No matter what team you are Blaming a winger is some insane mind bending stuff
You can validly argue that 3, maybe even 4 players were at fault, to blame, could have done better. I thought Jarvis looked decent again when he came on. He clearly has something about him. There was one time he drifted passed I think it was 4 of theirs. Hope we keep him here and he continues his development, not as a starter for now, but a good option to bring on and who knows what he might achieve with us longer term.
it might be shocking but we only scored 3 goals in the same fixtures last season, - in fact we've let fewer goals in this season - so not all bad
Jarvis is decent but he just doesn’t do the defensive work Ömür and Millar do either side to help out the full-backs. Considering the style of football requires centre-backs to get forward, the wingers need to track back if we lose the ball. The two #8s need to do a lot of work as well off the ball which I think Mehlem in particular does quite well. There really isn’t a place for a single luxury player in this style of football which makes the signing of Palmer, as decent as he is, seem even more bizarre.
"If TW would've won every pre-season game, he'd have been judged positively and rightly so." Judging by performance is more important than judging by results in pre-season "but I wouldn't be surprised if he went during the break." there is no chance of that happening
Because he goes missing loads, but because he cost £50k (actually £65k), he gets away with it with the fanbase.
We need to give the young lads a chance to build their experience. Everyone is waxing lyrical about Sunderland, how many first team games had Rigg and Bellingham had before they started playing for them?
Not trying to destroy anyone, he's done well since coming back. Both were at fault for that goal. I'm making the point that the team looked a lot better and we'd have probably got something bar a couple of lapses at the worst times from an inexperienced player.
