Fatfield lad, haven't seen him for years. Might have emigrated actually, sure someone told me he was running a bar in Spain or something.
Took the little un to the local league non league game today. It's all part of the plan...best player is a lad known as junior, tells me every week junior is better than Jack Clarke. Anyway...he always goes to the tunnel to get as many high 5s as he can at the end of the game. This week the ref gave him his leather bound proper fifa card set including red and yellow cards and pencil and notes on the game! Unbelievable! If he wasn't hooked already (he was) he definitely is now. Already saying it's better than Xmas and birthdays!
Wasn't expecting it after the last couple of results but the new gaffer has them playing decent stuff having been a route 1 team the whole time ive watched them. Happy days, particularly now that the bairn can see over the barrier without building his own step out of leaves! He's a die hard now... Sunderland, england, soham...depending on results. That's my boy
Glad he's enjoying it! I think non-league is great for kids. My daughter and my nephew have been brought up on a diet of non-league. It's great for them meeting the players and being really close to it all. It's ages since I've been up your way, which is a shame because its a really nice ground. The chips were really good last time I was there too!
Cheers mate. Just wondering about our defensive options and I was sure I'd seen something to say he'd gone, but I can't see anything if that's the case.
Just found the story. Maybe he needs another year to come good. https://www.sunderlandecho.com/spor...tance-after-false-deadline-day-rumour-4763847
Thanks marra. I thought I’d seen something….shows how the media we can access these days has to be treated with extreme caution!
