Bulut ‘seething and promising big changes in two weeks time’

You can read the rest of this article on WOL if you can be bothered but it’s the same old, same old excuses.

I think Erol is worried about his job already, and he should be. A defeat against the snow queens and he could be packing his bags.

    Well said.

If you stand back and look at the club within the problems start from the owner and his board.

Think about this: Tan spends a wedge on a forward with CL experience but then loans him to his Belgian club. What message does that send to City fans?

Aside from appreciating the money he’s invested in City, his continued lack of appearance at the club, his obsession with expensive failures under McKay & Warnock and stubborn refusal to sell unless it’s a hyper inflated sum is holding the club back.

What good would a new manager be if he’s chosen by people with no knowledge of or insight in football?

Why is there never talk of a director of football?

The questions could go on and on but as I stated earlier the real concern is which are the 3 clubs who possibly could finish below us?

    Yes calm down William!

You’ve been supporting the team a lot longer than me and you’ve every right to be concerned.

I don’t think that telling you this is our worst start in 35 years will help but I do agree about looking for an alternative manager. Maybe the process has already started?

Our only chance of survival this season is a change of manager and now.

Even then it may be too late after this window.

We have some piss poor players.

What was Kanga doing on the pitch after 70 minutes of absolute ****e! Meite was nearly as bad but got rightly subbed off earlier. In all honesty, I was shocked when both came out for the second half. I thought Bulut should have made a statement change during the break.

What a difference on the right hand side when Tanner came on. He may have got his publicised weight problems thanks to Bulut, but the guy has got a lot to offer going forward as well as getting back well in defence. Robinson should have come on with him not just a 15 minute cameo trying to rescue the game.

Robertson looks very green to me and conversely Ramsey looks a spent force.

At the back NG had a nightmare and O'Dowda is wasted - get Bagan on the pitch and play O'Dowda left side midfield becuase Willock looked lost in that set up. Robinson has to start and Siopis shouldn't start if Ralls is fit.

Bulut needs to wake up or he'll be gone - maybe sooner better than later.

There's been a lot of criticism about Ng who didn't play well but Chambers and Goutas are probably the worst CB pair in the league.

The answer to the question of the meaning of life, the universe and everything is 42. Coincidentally, there are 42 games to go.

Ok, I see all the doom and gloom on here so will, in my generally normal style try present a slightly less pessimistic, nee even optimistic view (though I'm sure some will think I'm more class clown than considered fan).

I don't think there was a huge difference between the two sides today.
The biggest difference was they took their best chance to take the lead when it came and we didn't when we had our best patch just after half time.

The first half was a pretty dull, cagey affair with little to shout about for either side.

Second half, IF we take one of those opportunities right at the start of the half it changes the game and gives us a confidence boost.

The first goal looked really poor from a defensive point of view. I've not seen it back yet but someone must have switched off.

Erol tried to make positive substitutions in the second half but sadly this week they didn't come off.

Arguably Rambo should have come off at half time for Colwill but just having them both on the pitch at the same time is a sign of attacking intent.

As worrying as the results have been, the overall performances haven't been bad, they've just not yet been good enough and we just need that lucky break or moment of magic to clinch a win. Once we do I reckon we'll be fine and start motoring up the table.

Boro went something like 8 games at the start of the season last season but still finished up 8th.

I can honestly see us doing something similar this year.

Again, we need patience, we need to allow time for the new partnerships and way of playing to gel. It doesn't magically happen in a handful of games.

Glass still half full for me!! <cheers>

Just to kind of back up my 'optimism' it would be worth comparing these stats to last year.... In fact we could probably do that for all our games so far this year (maybe with the possible exception of the Jack game).

More possession, more short passes, more accurate passing and more shots.

We all wanted an improved style of play and Erol is trying to deliver it.
It's frustrating that we're not getting the rewards when we are on top in games at the moment but it WILL come, we just need to keep patient and support the team rather than grumbling at misplaced passes or wayward shots.

I've heard people moaning about it being some of our worst performances for years, if not ever... Clearly those folks weren't down there amongst the couple of thousand fans when we were bumbling around near the foot of the old 4th division....

Glass still half full (and no, I've not had to top it up from earlier yet :emoticon-0105-wink:).

No everything about today was total garbage.

I'd love you to be proved right Brizzle but our performances are dire. The manager needs sacking to give us a chance to stay up.

There is no excuse for putting the same line up that was so dismal against Swansea out again. Where were the young players who played with such energy on Wednesday.?

    Who scouted Wilfried Kanga??

Why have we spent 2m on a striker for Tan's Belgian club.

We are a complete ****show of a run club and we are going to get and deserve relegation.

As I suggested in an earlier post the problems lie deep within the whole structure of the football club. It’s unique in the way it’s run/managed with completely unsuited and dare I say it incompetent people making the decisions.

It’s apposite to compare how clubs in our division not that long ago like Brighton Wolves Forest Brentford Bournemouth etc have gone light years ahead of us by having a plan/strategy and achieving it by hard work and astute management.

Until the club is in new hands we’ll continue to tread water.

Relieved to see you can see some positives Hilts <cheers>

I hope I'm proved right too otherwise I'm going to look like a right Muppet :emoticon-0140-rofl:

Honestly though, I don't think the manager is the issue, it's mostly just our finishing and concentration levels aren't quite up to scratch.

We're definitely not getting the rub of the green either... Rambo's first shot that hits a bemused Ayling on the line and then cannons up onto the post and back out was so desperately unlucky.

Last week, the goal the Jacks scored had 2 massive strokes of fortune in it for it to occur.
I still think if we'd had another 10 minutes last week we'd probably have gone on to win.

We were far better than Burnley in the first 45 minutes...

Granted it's all spells and patches at the moment but it's getting there...

Hopefully Erol is true to his word and he does shake things up a bit after the break and we utilise the time well on the training pitch.

I don't buy into this "shake things up" mantra. If it isn't the manager, his team selections and tactics, it must be the players - you can't have it both ways.

Fine words in pre and post press conferences and player interviews win nothing. This footballing farce is about the club and the way it's run.

For instance whoever scouted and sanctioned the Kanga move should be sacked, but that would probaly leave us with the tea lady.

I don't personally plan to blank the club as far as watching and following it, but it's getting harder to justify

Shaking things up half way through the season when things have got a bit stale is one thing. But after 4 games?
He had all summer to shake things up.

And why wait until after the 3rd game to tell Tanner he's carry a bit too much timber? Surely they knew that when he came back for pre-season.

Sad to say, the wheels have come off and Erol is deflecting.

Surely kicking them "up the azz" would make it more difficult to pull their fingers out.

He announces to the press that Tanner needs to lose weight after tearing Tyman a new one yet again.

But says nothing about such fine physical specimens like Kanga and Meite.

    Bloke is utterly useless.

Maybe Tanner can only rip it up for 30 mins. But as you allude to, its 30 mins more than the two you mention.
