    He’s bloody useless.

Offers nothing - can’t control the ball, had no pace, wins very little in the air.

If we paid £1m for him did we keep the receipt ?

May scored 23 goals for us last season - Ahadme won’t get that in his entire Charlton career.

The fans were getting after him today & rightly so - piss poor.

He's not getting any service from the hopeless cases on the flanks.

This performance has been coming. We are nowhere near as good as what some people think we are.

Anybodfy who thinks this squad will improve on last seasons 16th place needs a wake up call.

A squad put together with two bob. The owners and that ****er Andy Scott are a basket case.

Guess Who? It hasn’t taken long for him to change.:emoticon-0106-cryin

    That was hilarious!!

I’ve never read such utter bottom cringing bollacks from a grown man. Are the global moderator and BB related??

Tbf the geezer is no Alan Smith, the service he got was worse than a Wetherspoons.
However, he is not getting 10 goals this season, unless taffy changes our tactics.

I don’t get this. To make this fella work you have to have zippy wingers and a creative midfielder. We don’t have this. So essentially buying him and two others to make this purchase work. Wrf??

We had the best striker in this league and sell him for less than what the club lose each month. To a rival. Well a club that will finish above us.

for what commercial or footballing reason does buying this guy make sense?

I spoke to a guy today and he echoed the view that May wanted to leave<doh>. That is a narrative that slippery tongue peddles out.

Ahadme reminds me so much of Chris Iwelumo from 10 years ago - he is static and not particularly strong on the ball for a big man.

An equal concern to me is the Doc / Coventry / Berry midfield.

We ain’t going to be scoring many between now and Jan with these 3 in the middle - unless Alan Campbell turns out to be another Claus Jensen, and knowing the type of player Nathan favours I doubt it, we are not going to be scoring many goals.

I’d love to know who scouted Ahadme, apart from Andy Scott & Global ?

Based on what we have seen from him to date, we simply cannot have paid such an inflated transfer fee for this lad, even by our ridiculous standards. Ipswich have absolutely pulled our pants down, and not for the first time.

I actually thought Gassan Ahadme wasn’t his full name, and rather he was called

    Ahadme-U-Cvnt

That’s what the Charlton fan standing behind me kept calling him today ?

I don’t want to single out the lad but when your publicly backed by the global moderator on his site with a video goal resume that is about as impressive as watching synchronised washing up, you know something is fishy.

i hope the lad does well but who thought this was a good idea …

Andy Scott and Global isn’t that the scouting equivalent of Laurel and Hardy?

Alfie “Not Good Enough” May - 4 goals in 4 games so far this season.

Ahadme & Campbell - 0 goals between them.

    • I can't see him scoring many with his feet
Of his 11 league goals last season, six were headers and three were penalties. So yeah, he scored twice last season with his feet from open play. And we would’ve been well aware of it before bringing him in.

I didn’t see the match yesterday but was there for the Orient game. He looked like he was going to put himself about a bit but never had a sniff at goal.

I feel a bit sorry for him really - the style of play from Jones looks like a nightmare for a centre forward. A thankless unenjoyable task. They will have to do this role by committee . Looks to me like if they insist on playing this way they should have spent less on one and bought two or three

Nathan Jones wants a workhorse, not a conventional striker.

The idea is that Ahadme runs the defence ragged, creating space & goals for the midfield.

    I don’t see it working.

What astounds me is that some people think it is a good idea that we sold the Leagues top scorer and spent the money on a donkey.

If we play like we play then we couldn’t have played Alfie. The issue is the style of play from jones . He should have adapted his plans to make the most of Alfie.

I blame jones not the owners
