I don’t think Leeds are a good side. Sold most of their best players. Had a few players on debut today and they still looked far more cohesive than us.

I don’t see how Walter Ball will work. Players constantly changing position means we are often out of shape. You get right footed players in good attacking positions on the left hand side of the pitch, Coyle an example today, tried crossing in with his left foot into the side netting. We look vulnerable to conceding, but don’t look capable of scoring. It’s not heart attack football, it’s heart breaking football. The new lads might make a difference, but in my opinion on what I’ve seen so far, this is worse than anything Rosenior served up.

I'm certainly expecting Hughes to be in for Macca against the Blunts

"Vulnerable to conceding, but don't look like scoring" sounds like a comment on numerous home games last season

You know as well as anyone that the extreme scenario you’ve manifested there doesn’t negate the situation we are in. Theres tonnes of little things that could’ve been done better to help the season as is. They haven’t so that’s fine and it could still work out.

Honestly for once in your life have some critical thinking and nuance and realise that any criticism isn’t a slight against your own kind for some reason

I think the thing is GLP, when player A moves to club B the style of play is somewhat similar 4.3.3., 5.4.1., 4.1.3.2. and therefore they can sort of adapt easier, its a natural transition. TW has a totally different philosophy that is alien to his playing staff. Will they buy into it?, are they buying in to it?... time will tell...

It may just be me, but I've yet to really see what's so radically different about TW's style of play? I get needing to bed the new players in, but it's not like we're playing a formation or system that's totally alien to the football world? Seems to me it's simply that we've only just finished assembling the team.

Hopefully with with this extended break the new players we've got in can gel and the quality can start shining.

TWT but, I think he’s trying to be too clever. I don’t think he’s had any great success with his philosophy in Germany. Championship I’d say is a better standard than Bundesliga 2. I know he’s not be helped by the **** and lengthy recruitment process. We’ll see.

Not sure what all the bleating was about - wasn't that bad and showed a lot of promise - Leeds are one of the best teams inbthe Championship and for long periods we matched them - as soon as new signings are all available there's no reason why we couldn't be up there as well

    Who?
    Pandur has looked pretty solid
Zambrano was better today than last week and is just settling into a new country
Mehlem hasn't been anything special admittedly
    Millar is a quality addition
Too early IMO to judge either of the forwards we've added and we've not seen Hughes, Burns or any of the additions we made yesterday, so which players are you thinking of?

    Buy into it?

He’s had 11 games & we’ve seen nothing that would suggest they are,

We taken the lead in none of these games.

We’ve won none of these games.

    We’ve kept 1 clean sheet

We’ve failed to score in 5 of these games.

For League games we’ve maintained virtually the same team, who still appear to have no idea how to play the system.

The problems on the pitch are down to the Manager. He appears unable to communicate to the players what he wants. If he does communicate what he wants then either the players think he’s talking ****e or he wants us to play like amateurs who’ve never played together.

As his system is “heart attack” football producing goals a plenty I’d opine that the players used so far don’t believe as they understand Championship football is a lot more competitive than the Disney 2nd Division German football he’s used to.

He’s been treated shabbily regarding signings but what he has he hasn’t managed to get them to express what he wants on the pitch,

He’s out of his depth. He needs to go.

Mehlem and Millar havent done well
Jarvis isnt the good enough standard now
    the strikers arent good enough
    Drameh isnt good enough
hopefully some of them will get better but a lot need to get better quickly
there's still some not had a chance to show what they can do

I'm really on the fence after getting home. On one hand we had moments and probably didn't have the quality in those key parts to get something. Against Leeds it is what it is but its been the story of the season so far. On the other hand it feels like without some adjustments to the overall system it does feel like sometimes all we create is somewhat decent half chances. A lot of our good moments came in chaos and counter-pressing. Something Walter talks about but we very rarely seem to do.
