Gonna miss the game sadly, hopefully it goes well against tough opposition this afternoon. Come on boys.
1-0. Good Old Havertz. First 15 mins we were excellent. Then it was all very disjointed. Thomas Partey is still a problem in transition.
Can someone explain to me why the **** Rice was given a 2nd yellow for that!!! VAR and the Ref are ****in useless. If anything it should have been a yellow or sending off to the Brighton player. I am fuming!!! Apparently is was "time wasting" almost accidentally nudging the ball and it moved 12 inches!! ffs. If I recall, a Brighton player whacked a ball away well after the whistle in the 1st half and zero happened!
He kicked the ball away to stop a quick FK, which is why he got kicked rather than the ball. Not on the level he was between 20-22.
What a great way to get a yellow Rice was an idiot ... kicking/tapping/knocking the ball away is supposed to always be a yellow if it stops the opposition taking advantage. The whistle had long gone so should have backed off as he was already on a yellow. Good point though against Brighton with 10 men for 45 mins tbf
I dunno, Arsenal consistently throw themselves to the floor and roll around, refs seem to have wisened up to it like everyone else has, except the Arsenal fans who still seem to think their player throwing himself to the floor and feigning injury means a foul
Yeah, welcome to modern football. And let's not act like West Ham don't do the same ****, so spare me with your self-righteous bullshit.
No one does it as bad as Arsenal, and everyone knows it, now go find Rice rolling around faking an injury in the C & B like he did today. Ref's not giving you **** is you reaping what you've sowed.
Well obviously you're going to say that because of your braindead, irrational issues with Arsenal. But it's totally subjective. I could easily say West Ham are one of the worst in the division for diving, feigning contact and wasting time, how are you going to argue against that? You just come across as pathetic and bitter to be honest.
Didn't dislike Arsenal under Graham or Wenger, nor under Emery, it grew out of watching your players dive and roll around faking injury like you have since Arteta showed up. Obviously you'll make up some other reason, because you're in denial, you obviously ignore that pretty much every non-Arsenal supporter says the same thing as me.
Rivals fans from the 'big six' will always let their hatred/bias cloud their judgement, but when it's from other clubs, I find it weird when they have the level of resentment that you do. It comes across as excessive. West Ham and Arsenal have never had a proper rivalry, so I don't get why you feel this strongly. If you hate us because of how we play under Arteta, that's up to you, but I never, ever see you complain about any other club the way you do about Arsenal.
Ern's bias and hatred for Arsenal clouds his views on everything to do with us You just have to accept that some people have disappeared up their own arse with this sort of thing and accept that everything they say will be tainted by their bitterness. Weird one, as there's no real big rivalry between Arsenal and West Ham
Not just me, though, is it? The vast majority of everyone who isn't an Arsenal fan says the same. please log in to view this image
The ratio of agreement to disagreement shows my previous comment to be correct, the vast majority of people that aren't Gooners think you're the team that cheats on the pitch more than any other. here's another 1,000 or so saying roughly the same thing. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c204qp7dvnyo#comments All teams have their divers, but at Arsenal it's everyone, players that never did it before soon start throwing them selves on the floor and rolling around in feigned injury once they join Arteta's arsenal.
Anyway, just seen that second yellow for Rice. Danny Murphy made a good point, the ball was rolling and the free kick couldn't be taken anyway, so Veltman was lucky not to see a straight red for it. Also the inconsistency of not booking Pedro for a blatant booting the ball 50 yards away after the ball has gone out. Crap refereeing
