Yes, I'm asking how long before you start judging him on results? We have 2 weeks until the next game with the squad together and training for the most part. Is that not long enough?
I suspect there will be behind closed doors games during the break... a) to get people up to speed properly and B) to decide where the new people fit in..
good job we signed two £5m wingers yesterday who will most likely be in our starting 11 and probably means Jarvis struggles to make the bench.
People are acting like there wouldn’t be a huge turnover of players if Rosenior was still manager. They’re also acting like Rosenior would’ve done significantly better in these opening four games when last season he couldn’t beat Bristol City, Plymouth or Leeds at all and just scraped a win against Millwall at home. It’s a different coach and his staff, different style of play and new players. The only people to blame here are the chairman and vice-chairman for hamstringing the new manager.
TBH...4 games in and 19th in the table is better than I anticipated on day 1. Still think we'll improve around November/Dec and finish halfway.....Long long way to go though!!!
We did. Literally 2 moments in the game, we had ours and ****ed it up. If Slater didn’t over hit his cross it’s a guaranteed goal etc etc. I’m not sure why you’re acting like they absolutely dominated us, they didn’t.
Pandur kept us in that game with some brilliant saves, they could have easily won by 3 or 4. We barely created a single chance. How on earth can you watch that game and say we more than matched them? That's precisely why I quoted the xG as it illustrated just how one-sided a game that was.
He won’t be here at Xmas if it carries on He will take the blame for acun behaving like a ****ing mental owner
It’s almost like the core of their young but talented squad from the last two seasons was kept intact.
We should’ve done though. Slater should’ve given Bedia a tap in, Millar ****ed up countless moves, Omur was a millimetre away from a 1 v 1. Plenty of positives for me, expected nowt from today and the performance we put in led me to believe we could’ve got more. They’re arguably the best side in the division and again, 2 moments have won them in. We went all out when we were stable, sides like today punish you. We won’t play many better
He was OK in the first half when he had Giles overlapping. Philogene had many games like that last season where two defenders doubled up on him and he became ineffective.
Crazy thing to do Surely you’d buy players from all round the globe and Chuck them in together a day or two before the window closes
Apart from their key player being sold to Ipswich once the season had started of course. But yes, it's almost as if a bit of stability helps the transition to a new manager. That being said, I reckon you could do a bit of business a bit earlier and actually give new players a pre-season together.
