Mehlem and Bedia have been a right nuisance with their pressing. Millar looks sharp.

 

We need to score in these dominant periods though

 

at least we've created good chances, struggled to do that in previous games. Improving!

 

Dominant for 15 mins, a goal before half time can do wonders.

 

Mehlem’s really showing his class here. Slowing them down, an absolute pressing machine

 

Does Gnonto actually have a double barrel surname? Gnonto-Offside perhaps

 

If we can get Bedia to wear boots not made of lead then we may have a player.

 

Grown into the game well as the half has gone on.

 

Only half way through the game but hats off to Walter this is a well drilled team

and we’ve silenced the gobby wessie crowd

Good defending in our area from Zambrano.

 

We've grown into this. Coyle and Macca are really starting to pick up this system. Giles could do it anyways. Jones has been the weaker but he's had some good moments too.

Bédia looks a handful as does Mehlem. Millar not quite with it today, and you can see across the board moments where they're not quite on the same wavelength, but the signs are still there and getting more obvious too.

Pandur been an absolute rock.

 

Pandur's been a wall. Not to beat a dead horse, but the decision to get a keeper in on loan continues to boggle the mind...

 

Should add, Slater has been ****ing terrible. Don't think he's avoided losing possession yet. Ömur having moments but struggling still.

Roll the dice. Get Jarvis and Puerta on at half time.

We've grew into this and look dangerous at times...Keep it up and we've got a chance here.

Grew into the game, not a bad half, the bench looks stronger than it has in a long time, so hopefully to keep it up.

 

You know what, after weathering the initial 5-10 mins, we've done really well, certainly giving as good as we get, Mehler, Zambrano and Miller looking good, Bedia looking a real handful, and the defence looking good so far, Slater has had a few sloppy moments but apart from that it's a really decent performance so far.

 

Good half that, Bedia looks promising, Zambrano grew into it more. Pandur also sound.

 

I've been a fan of Pandur from the start, even during pre-season. What I would say though is that Tim seems to be using him differently now to how he used his keeper at Hamburg and how he tried with Pandur early on in pre-season so it could be that he wants Rushworth to come in and get back to his usual way.
