Oscar Zambrano latest City are understood to remain in talks with the South American authorities about the situation involving Oscar Zambrano and his potential ban following the alleged doping breach. The worst-case scenario is that he would get a two-year ban should he be found guilty. As it stands, nothing has been confirmed in an official capacity. In quotes attributed to Julio Alvarez, director of Ecuador's Liga de Quito, he's said: "We have not had a statement about it (Óscar Zambrano's 2-year ban for doping). He is now with Hull City and we hope it goes well for him." A reminder that speaking earlier this month, Acun Ilicali said they backed Zambrano and believed his case and that the club were protected whatever the outcome of the investigation was. Should a ban be forthcoming, it's our understanding the club will stand by the youngster.
