Isn't being a disaster-junkie part and parcel of being a city fan? If only we had we had 2 cathedrals, no RL and a celebrity cook who's overfond of the sherry as owner....
We need a decent striker , the team lacks goals Not bothered about another keeper , winger , central defender or midfielder
There’s a Scottish bloke out here where I live, an architect by the name of Doak. It’s written in the stars I tell you, and he’ll be **** hot for us, Ben Doak that is, not the architect who’s at least 65.
Sounds like Cannon is first choice, with Stansfield back up. Not sure I can see either of those 2 getting over the line
And if today is typical of other deadline days, we won’t start seeing official announcements until at least 6pm
Funny, last night Baz was still saying we expect 6 through the door.. Just checked NewsNow this morning to see this "Hull City transfer deadline state of play as Tigers hunt at least four signings " Seems he's changed the headline since as it now says five.
So Meffert is still a hopeful according to this!!! FFS we sold greaves 12th July Philogene 19th July Why the **** didn’t we just sign him then he’s entering the last year of his deal and in the position he plays is crucial to how Walter’s system will work and Walter knows him A real no brainer. But look at us scrabbling around on deadline day
It's the same for Kamara, Chazz. He's been one of our main targets for the right wing from the start, the kid even handed in a transfer request a few weeks ago. This morning we've apparently made another bid which "has broadly matched what the Canaries are looking for to part with a winger they value highly"... why not just do that last week? It's not like we dont have the money.
I think we can rule out a move for Inoussa now. If we're close to Kamara and the Liverpool lot are saying we're signing Doak on loan, thats our 2 right wingers for the season.
Indeed, so just pay the money. It's not going to break the bank ever selling who we've sold. I doubt our bid was that low last week that would have made a real difference to us, but it would have made a massive difference to having him in squad earlier, might have an extra few points on the board.
I love Deadline Day TV on, Computer on, Phone on it's great when you have time on your hands on these days .
Greaves should have gone for much more than he did. Even Ipswich fans consider they got an absolute bargain. Given how early Ipswich came in for Greaves, he was clearly seen as a priority signing. I do find it frustrating that we consistently under sell our players, regardless of the ownership. He should have been £20m plus with add ons.
Like you say, I doubt our bid was that low, meaning that it was likely a serious bid. Negotiations have to start somewhere and they may as well start low for our own benefit!
