I think they are both as bad as each other, they are opposites and can learn a lot from one another, although neither of them knows when to keep quiet!

Too true badger, but my point and I think that of a few others is that it won't be Barton. All he's out to do is stir trouble and vindicate himself. He is a selfish egotist who generally took the fans for mugs until he had some PR guru inspired epiphany.

What it needs is someone to genuinely expose Llambias for being a sly twat. But ex players with there own agendas won't do that, which is why this latest PR ****-storm from Joey is a waste of time, he's saying nothing new and just stirring up hostility to make himself feel better. As he said, he's not like some employee at a shop, he's a footballer, do you think he really gives a **** about us?

 

I agree with this, so in a way I agree with Leazes but not in it's full form.

 

I think the whole tyrade against The Only Way Is Essex crew, and basically Barton's life as a whole, clearly shows that the guy looks for confrontation and enjoys it. There's no way he'll intentionally shut up about Llambias.

I'll agree and disagree, all attention seeking aside, it's not a man standing up for himself that bothers me, it's a man pretending to stand up for others (in this case, the club and fans) when I think its obvious this is a personal vendetta he has against Ashley and Derek. Fair dues to him for looking out for himself, if he wants to continue dealing with the attention he brings upon himself -- let him, but he should stop dragging the club and everyone else associated with it into it with him.

 

Tbh I think they're both weasels. I don't trust Llambias one bit, hate the ****, and this public retort of his disgusts me dredging up Gary Speed's death to defend himself on a completely unrelated issue and in order to make Barton look bad. That's the way I saw it anyway.

I'm sure life was made quite difficult for Barton by the end so he probably was forced out to an extent. However, the fact that a Premier League club kept him on when he was sent to prison for beating up a minor is miraculous (consider the case of Adrian Mutu) and he must be mad if he thinks he had any right to sit and call the shots on his contract details from his jail cell. Also that comment about Sports Direct employees, can't say I love the way that comes across either.

While I agree with him that our top brass are total dickheads, Barton just needs to forget about it for now, move on and do the best he can for his new team. I'd probably believe him on the issue if I'm honest just because I know how much the other two can't be trusted EVER, but he also needs to look back at how the club stuck with him when he was fannying about wasting his career, and while I'm sure he still does love the fans if he's honest I'm sure he'd tell you that the money was a big part of his move to QPR.

If he wants to bring a book out someday I'd be very much looking forward to reading it, until then he should be more professional, buckle down and impress the fans of the club he plays for. Having said this I do think the interviewers were egging him on a bit and he got a little carried away.

In the end neither looks like they have any class from where I'm standing.

Nobody's even spoke of his ability as a footballer, this is entirely about his ability to run his mouth with an audience when he should instead be focusing on playing football.

 

I'm of the humble opinion that his ego is taking a big hit with us suddenly doing so well after him and his mate Nolan leaving recently. The two of them most likely left hoping we would slip down the league to prove they were worth the bonus and thus far it has back-fired magnificently.

I was a huge fan of Joey and his rants last season too. Just goes to show how thick rose-tinted glasses can be for a football fan!

 

Can you read cock snogger? No-one has even mentioned his footballing ability. I will say though that Barton is a GOOD player. Not eceptional but good.
Hence why he ended up at QPR and not a top 4 club. Whats annoying me and other fans at the moment is his inability to shut the **** up, nothing else.
