He probably tried to put Horse placenta into the negotiations. From that point it wasn't getting out the gates
Delap, Morton and Philogene were all kind of under whelming last summer, having all had average at best seasons in the championship the year before.....time will tell, but i'm happier signing potential who have the potential to increase in value that players later in their career who likely won't
To be fair I dont think the Kamara deal is dead. Doak is probably in addition of. Jarvis' preference is LW anyway
I wonder if any of those who are underwhelmed at the prospect of getting Doak on loan have done any research? From what I’ve seen and heard about him, I’d be pleasantly surprised if he comes to us because I’d have thought he could get serious game time with quite a few Prem or parachute teams. Can only presume it’s down to the goodwill created by our handling of Morton and Carvalho.
Philogene and Morton I was excited for. After hearing from Blackburn fans how good Morton was it did excite me. Delap though yes I was underwhelmed. I'm not going to deny it. We'll see what Zambrano, Puerta and Doak offer. If Doak does sign. Right now though. I am.sorry but, I'm underwhelmed. Is thst fair?
Think the occasional horse tips you have given have set off from gates and locked ones at that old chap
It's fair to be underwhelmed on initial impression. Labelling it as a panic signing, unwanted liverpool youngster or bargain bin is a bit reactionary like
From our point of view, two possible reasons jump out to me. One is that we've changed our mind after seeing the response from fans to his name coming out over the weekend. Reportedly the club were quite surprised by the negative feedback, and I suspect they maybe thought it'd actually be popular with fans because he's from Hull. I mentioned earlier this morning that I wondered whether it might fall through due to this. The other one is that we were probably looking at him to replace Sean McLoughlin as our backup left-sided centre back. Macca supposedly wants to go and play regularly somewhere else, with Blackburn linked all summer. I think we'd lined up Cooper to facilitate that move. So if Macca's move to Blackburn or wherever had fallen through, that would maybe lead to us pulling out of a move for Cooper. Or maybe he just wants too much money.
A lot of people here had doubts about this potential move with his injury track record including me. It's good to know the owner has people watching and taking notice of the real brain team, Hull City Not606 fans forum. Perhaps we should set up a website, go-fund-us-now, so he can show his appreciation. Card payment and holiday discount vouchers accepted. Your voice counts!
If the Liam Cooper news is true and the deal has fallen through, even though I wasn't against the signing, the stick he may well have received from a section of the fan base, may well have had a negative effect on the whole squad. So probably not a bad thing.
I know plenty of Blackburn fans who weren’t overly impressed with Morton but I saw him play for them lots of times and thought he looked really good. All about opinions.
He's very highly thought of by a couple of people I know up here who do scouting work.Very young and relatively inexperienced but apparently he's on the brink of breaking through and making his mark. No brainer if we can get him,he's probably perfect for the Championship and I'd see him as more than a back up as Liverpool will want to see some game time and improvement in him.
Rak Sakyi was always open season and the deal was horrendous anyway. A massive loan fee and a recall clause? Nonsense. Conway we went in for too late after he had already committed/been convinced by Boro.
