As well as Rams' home games, the stadium is used for a range of non-matchday activities including conferences, weddings and other sporting events. Another away day to Derby with a sold out away end-interesting game this a side that was promoted back to the championship after two seasons in league one -They have lost 2-1 at Watford 4-2 at Blackburn and then a impressive home win against Boro 1-0. sitting in the championship with 3 points at present. Bristol City have had a decent start in the championship unbeaten so far and clearly been the better team in all the three games played. Liam Manning has a wealth off talent to choose from and really does not have a clue what his best eleven are. As i write there seems strong rumours that Luke McNally will be signed from Burnley given us more depth at the back. Exclusive: Bristol City growing in confidence over signing Luke McNally before transfer deadline Liam Manning has been keen to add another centre-back to his squad for some time. Again a game we need to be winning if we are serious of a top six finish- I personally think we will come away from Pride Park with three points our squad being far stronger than Derby County. I'm going to predict a 3-1 win for Bristol City and putting three points on the board.
I really felt we could win if Dickie was fit. Apparently Derby love their set pieces into the opposition's box. Alas Vyner and Naismith are nowhere near Dickie's ability in winning the first ball. Hope for the draw but can easily see us losing this.
Having watched the Hull and Coventry games live, and seen the highlights from the Millwall match, we need to be more consistent in our purpose and our tempo of play in my humble opinion. We are too fond of sitting back on leads, and inviting the opposition to come at us, which they do. We've been ahead in all 3 games so far but only have 5 points to show from them. I can't see us bettering a draw (at best) in this one either. Hope I'm wrong, and we get all 3 points.
Atkinson wouldn’t get in the team over Dickie/Vyner for me. Naismith was a right liability 2 years ago at CB….I think he’s a bit better as a 6, and should be competing with Williams for that slot.
if he overcomes his injuries Atkinson and Dickie will play together. What a partnership -just like Fally and Armstrong at the other end-Imagine corners and free kicks they would cause havoc.
Bristol City expected team vs Derby County: Rob Dickie's injury leaves defensive void to fill More than Bristol City 3,000 fans will be joining the Robins at Pride Park https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/bristol-city-derby-county-dickie-9521961 Bristol City (4-2-3-1): Max O’Leary; George Tanner, Zak Vyner, Kal Naismith, Cam Pring; Joe Williams, Jason Knight; Mark Sykes, Max Bird, Scott Twine; Sinclair Armstrong please log in to view this image
He played the full game against Wolves on Wednesday night. I still think LM will start with Vyner and Naismith at the back.
I’m really hoping we see him at some point today. I think/hope, he could be a really great player and signing for us.
The domination we had has just gone down the drain as we go down 0-1. Sloppy play over about 4 or 5 minutes gave Derby an advantage and they have taken possibly their only good chance whereas we have wasted all of ours.
