Watching Wolves vs Chelsea. I really despise Chelsea’s transfer approach but they’ve played some really nice football today. Their building from the back has been exceptional.
Saw end of Bournemouth v Newcastle game.Bournemouth had the ball in the net in injury time for a potential winner. The referee gave it. VAR decided it had struck his arm too low down as he jumped to head it and overruled the ref and disallowed it. Cue the Bournemouth fans singing “you’re not fit to referee”.
Point of order, the referee is free to ignore the VAR decision. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
KLP starting as left wing back for Brentford today. So KLP is up against Mo Salah for Liverpool, big game for him today.
Point is if it had been in the Championship it would have stood. On the other hand, if we would have had VAR yesterday we would have had a penalty. Swings and roundabouts…
Someone’s arse must be nipping. They have got the first 5 of SKy’s predict 6 scores right. The final one they is for Liverpool to win 3-0. It is 2-0 at the moment. I more goal for Liverpool then no further scores for either team and the have won £1 million,
Boro losing 5-0 at home to Stoke. Surely not as Stoke have only had 34% possession and 1 shot less than Boro.
Brid Town change manager "We announce, by mutual consent, the release of Adrian Costello and appointment of Denny Ingram as Manager. When we took over the reins from Pete Smurthwaite, Adie kindly agreed to stay on in his role to ensure continuity at the club during the transitional period that followed. Despite significant delays caused by lawyers behind the scenes, Adie stepped up the plate, went above and beyond netting us some great signings for the season with just 4 weeks notice. Challenges remain, but I personally would like to thank Adie for his passion and professional service to the club and look forward to continuing to work with him as he continues to assist the club in other areas."
"Bridlington Town AFC Acquired By HDM Worldwide Limited HDM Worldwide Limited, an East Yorkshire-based renewable energy company, has announced the acquisition of Bridlington Town AFC, including the leasehold of the 2,800-capacity Queensgate stadium. Acquiring the club from owner and chairman Pete Smurthwaite, the HDM team has proactive plans to bring new energy and opportunities to both the club and the community at large, in particularly the support of the current fan base and player recruitment of the club, which currently competes in the Northern Premier League East Division, the eighth tier of English football. In line with HDM’s commitment to sustainability and community support, HDM Energies, a subsidiary of HDM Worldwide Limited, will be installing solar panels at the Queensgate stadium under their ‘Energy for All’ scheme. This future thinking initiative will provide clean energy and significantly reduce the stadium’s carbon footprint and electricity costs, while promoting the use of sustainable energy in the wider football ecosystem. Dan Rogers, CEO of HDM Worldwide Limited, said of the acquisition: “We are honoured to take the reins of Bridlington Town AFC. “Our focus is on maintaining a thriving football environment, creating new opportunities for the team, and giving back to the local community and the region that has been so supportive of our business." In my opinion, the side has never looked the business since the take over, loads of young light weight talent but no physicality or shape. We will see how the new man goes.
I can't seem to find out what "HDM" stands for in this company, hopefully not "Hull Daily Mail" The new owners have installed some new LED floodlights and are installing solar panels.
Yes, doesn’t bear any relation to the owner’s names. Doesn’t seem a particularly large organisation. Have a feeling that things might not go too well. As an insurance I have bought a ticket for the Euromillions as it is at £100million. You will know if my numbers come up as Town will be back to their original black and amber kits.
The people who started the company were called Hannah and Daniel, that might well be where the HD part came from.
