Tottenham offer up the first real test of the season although the same applies for them meeting Newcastle.

I'm not convinced by the performances from Newcastle so far this season and I personally believe Tottenham have the players to hurt our makeshift defence.

Newcastle at home are usually a much better side, so that might help them hold on for another point.

    I'll go 2 -2

You seem to be feeling more optimistic than me for once.

BTW I forgot to mention this but Longstaff played very well last night and should start. The penalty wasn't the reason either.

Contrary to popular belief I will always credit where it's due which I managed with Steve Bruce unlike the mass majority.

    That's how it works.

If he starts it should be ahead of Joelinton

Joelinton has been one the best players at the club for a while and got one motm not long ago

    He will have better games.

Longstaff isn't one of our best players but did very last night and Tonali is very unfit.

I’d like to see Joelinton moved back and Tonali and Bruno freed up a little.

We need to freshen it up, too predictable.

1st game he was the best player... poor the last 2 though I agree.

I wouldn't drop one of our best players especially not at home vs Tottenham

1st game he was ok, he scored a good goal.

His main strength is his strength - someone stands up to him and he goes in to his shell a bit like when he’s in front of goal

You can’t move Joelinton back. He is at his best when roaming around tackling anything in sight. His positional awareness is poor, his passing is poor and he lacks discipline - he would be a nightmare as a proper holding midfielder.

Just let him do what he does best - he seems to find space there and can dwell on the ball as he likes to.

Well obviously I can't do jack ****! I just feel that doing the same thing for the last 2 years is holding us back. The only thing that's changed is we lack the same intensity and dynamism. Don't feel there's any guile to what we do, but whereas in the past we've simply out worked the opposition, that's not happening anymore. B'mth and Forest worked as hard, if not harder.

He's also a very skilful player.. one of the most skilful at yet club .. 2nd since isak arrived maybe.

He's had a couple of below par games..I fancy he'll be back to his best along with the other when the cbs aren't hiding in the 18 yard box..

Need to get up the pitch a bit.

Nah, not in my opinion. Take away his strength and he has literally nothing
