Great Wycombe Wanderers have appointed former Premier League Support Manager, Jeremy Sauer, as the first Academy Director. Sauer, who moves to Buckinghamshire from Brighton and Hove Albion, has held prominent positions with West Ham United and AFC Wimbledon in recent years. Taking over the role officially from August 19, it is the latest exciting landmark in the club's new era under Lomtadze Chief Football Officer and Interim Chair Dan Rice told WW.com: “Re-launching an academy at Wycombe Wanderers has been an absolute priority for the new owners and Jeremy’s appointment is a historic milestone for the future of the football club. Jeremy’s appointment underlines and demonstrates the owners’ commitment to building a foundation which will deliver our long-term ambitions and objectives at a higher level than the club has ever operated before.”
No Rob for Reading then. Nasty owners have put the price up. Mind you it was ridiculously cheap. I wonder what that means for JJ
What are Mansfield doing up there in 3rd place. They won't keep that up. Apart from beating Barnsley early on they haven't played any top teams Wrexham lost again. Birmingham were far superior to Wrexham and are already 1/3 to finish top with Wrexhan next at 14/1 Wycombe 3/1 to make the play offs
There is always one team that surprises & it looks like it could be Mansfield this time, at the moment the other surprsies are Huddersield, Peterborough & Rotherham being in the bottom half
We won 1-0 against QPR at their training ground with Fred scoring the winner, good to see that Hanlan came on as a sub in the second half as well.
If you had asked at the beginning of the season Ron, I would probably have said 7th would be a great season for us
Yes, agreed. I think expectations have risen a bit given their squad and performances but it is a very difficult league
Jaiden Bartolo made his debut for Weymouth in a 1-1 draw with Chesham United after joining the National League South side on loan on Friday. The Gibraltar international links up with fellow Blues loanee Christie Ward, who also featured in the game. Jack Young scored twice for Dorking in a thrilling 3-3 draw with Salisbury, while Taylor Clark continued his impressive form for Farnborough in their 2-1 win at Chelmsford. Jack Matton followed up a debut win with Bracknell at Hungerford last week with a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw against Wimborne, in which Jahiem Dotse came off the bench and nearly grabbed the winner. Laurie Shala played for Potters Bar Town in their 2-2 draw at Chatham Town, while Luca Woodhouse was an unused sub for Dagenham & Redbridge in their 4-0 victory over AFC Fylde. Brody Peart missed Basingstoke's 2-0 defeat to Taunton with a knock.
Best price for promotion is 7/2 and as low as low as 2/1 with a few bookies (inc Lads and WH) Odds on for top 6 finish Money coming in at 14/1 to win the league. As low as 9/1 with 3 bookies If you fancy the play offs it's 11/10
2/1 is now the best price available for promotion 4/9 for top 6 Still 11/10 to make the playoffs and 15/2 to win the play offs If you think they can win the league outright, best price is 11/1 (as low as 7/1) 7/2 for top 2 finish
I daren't post the super computer's prediction for end of season league table. Based on its previous prediction it is not very super
