    Saturday 3pm.
    Do not accept imitations!!
Looking forward to this one. See how Walter’s system goes against one of the favourites for promotion. They’ve got two good wingers, both unlikable. And Bamford too!
    Name your team!

Burstow didn't do a lot wrong but we should start with Bedia.

Start Zambrano but give him a megaphone so he can loudly remind his colleagues that he's on their side.

Can't see us getting anything here, unfortunately. We can't allow them to break at pace or an uncomfortable afternoon could become an ugly one. We've nothing to trouble them up front. 2-0 to them

If only we could have a bowling green type pitch like we had then when rugby wasn’t played on it.<laugh>

Rugby was played on it. International game when it should have been called off because the pitch was frozen solid but Robinson had tons of sand poured onto it and the pitch never recovered.

It didn't get like that because of one rugby game. All the wear is in the goalmouth.

From all the hype and clips surrounding Hughes (also a Wigan supporting mate of mine who thought he was the second coming) I'd like to see him start, get Bedia in and Zambrano, tell Giles to get them crosses in and make it uncomfortable for the white shyte, but above all we have to compete, for every first, second and third ball, get in their faces. In the words of Kevin Keegan ' I'd love it, just love it, if we beat them'

Thats where they offloaded then dumped the sand before it was scrapped off, taking the surface with it..

That was in January 1985. The Leeds game was 3 years later.

I'd love to see this but I find it so odd he'd throw Hughes into the pit that is Elland Rd for his first game.

I said it did a lot of damage, and it was a bad winter with a bitterly cold easterly wind blowing in from the boulevard region.

I always like players to play against ex clubs but would be harsh to drop Coyle for Drameh

Reckon Drameh will need to bide his time for his spot. Coyles to lose and all that.

I am ok with a point here, even a boring 0-0 is OK.

I like this, part of me wants to throw Jarvis in instead of Omur.

Omur is obviously talented but its hard to see where he fits in Walters system.

Unless Zambrano and Puerta become so good he can challenge for that 3rd spot in the middle and push higher up.

For me, I’d rather start Jarvis on the right, Omur in the middle. If it means one of the central midfielders dropping to the bench, so be it. Omur should be one of the first names on the team sheet and you should always play a natural winger if you have one available. I imagine we’ll get an upgrade on the winger situation soon though. But Jarvis has shown promise to fight for a place. I’d have him over Longman.
