Yeah, I did sorry. Taking my eldest up there to his freshers week in a couple of weeks so will maybe give it a go then.
Lad loved the football. But was absolutely knackered 15 mins into second half so we did one. he woke up at home and spent 20 minutes at about 1am trying to tell him mum about it. Magic
Morning. Overslept and missed the gym but doesn’t matter as we’re winning the League Cup. Up the Carabao.
It’s important you make sure the boy/girl settles in by going to a completely different bar and boshing a PhD student. Probably.
About 1.5m, but it all depends on the road really and the speed of the car. Some of the country lanes around here it's impossible to leave 1.5m. So I just get out of the way and let them pass. If I'm driving I tend to give cyclists as much room as if I was overtaking a car, it might take longer to wait for that opportunity, but I know it's safer for the cyclist. See some absolute **** house driving down here, people overtaking me on blind corners etc. Some prick nearly ended up taking the roof of his car off a while back, overtaking me and then meeting a tractor with a plough on the back
My main concern is he doesn't feel he's stuck with his new flatmates, at least two of which are going to be weird.
Tbf that looks like a dodgy move mate. Because it looks like you've tried to get past the cyclist ahead of that oncoming car and not left him much room at all.
He swerved out, exaggerating it. If he'd stayed just by the white line, there's a good metre plus, which is enough in that situation. Would never be able to pass otherwise, cyclists need to stick to their line and it's all OK. Not be swerving about.
Yeah that pic doesn't take into account whether the cyclist has swerved out. But from the pic, if he has, then it looks like he would have almost been on the verge to start with. It looks from that pic as though he's in the right place tbh. Taking into account the width of the handlebars (mine are 800mm but that's an MTB) then you haven't really left him a lot of room. I think whoever assesses that pic will be looking at the fact that you have got plenty more room on the road to move over, and it looks as though you've tried to zip past him because there's an oncoming car.
