The competition needs dropping in my opinion. Look at the lineups and attendances tonight, nobody cares about it.
They effectively do. The prize money for league position these days is so high that nobody cares about the cups anymore. I honestly think its a good thing we were knocked, whats the point in getting through just to get smashed by a PL reserve team

Add in a lot of clubs, like us, lose money staging home games in the early rounds because of lack of interest and small gates. Most clubs aren't interested until you get to the quarter finals. Even then the prize money is nowt (£100k if you win, £50k for runners up), so there's nit much incentive to take it seriously unless you've got a chance of getting to the final and qualifying for Europe though it.
