Reading through some comments online from Feyenoord fans and people who know Dutch football more than me, it sounds like his fitness is a notorious problem and they were quite surprised someone made a bid for him.

If it was that obvious then I do think there are some questions for the club and their continual chasing of perma-injured players.

Whoever we get now will be a rush job that probably doesn't improve on McCarthy, I don't have much faith in the club when it comes to these situations.

That's what medicals are for. Feyenoord aren't going to say he's crocked don't buy him. The profile was right just needed to confirm if he was fit to play. Once bitten twice shy, Ross

He's waiting for Saudi, no way we can afford his wages if Arsenal don't contribute. He is a good stopper better than Mcarthy. If RM is looking for a player that is good with his feet why are we looking for a player that was replaced by another goalie that is good with his feet. Yes he is a big name and I loved Shilts but why get a player that doesn't fit the system unless the system is going to be changed? I don't think ticky tacky works with the players we have now but to change now would be suicide.
