I think that people are just expressing frustration, not negativity.

It’s very difficult to tell as the waves of negativity in the fanbase (as a whole) since Saturday have been massive and rather toxic. Some of the reaction to that Brazilian striker rumour has been downright ridiculous.

But this frustration seems at least to be based in this idea that we must only have one iron in the fire at any one time and that the collapse of this deal means Alex McCarthy for the season. There doesn’t appear to be any evidence of that. Maybe we get unlucky with other options as well but it certainly doesn’t seem like the plan anymore

I don’t read saints twitter. It’s Saintsweb that has got almost as bad. It’s pretty appalling actually. I need a break from there I guess. Always good to get a reminder as to why I never joined.
Not neccesairily, the wages Wolves must have been paying over the last few seasons must have been extremely high.

Presumably there was no indication of a risk of reoccurrence. And the injury didn’t reoccur. He just got a different one. Medicals don’t deal with situations like that. Otherwise no club would sign anyone who had ever had an injury in their career
Wolves also have Sa so maybe aren’t as desperate as us. You’d think we would be happier to spend more than them
