Times change and things become outdated, for sure ... but I'd still much rather listen to some Beatles tracks (and certainly Elvis) than the nasally nonsense the Gallagher brothers dreamt up ... Favourite Lennon & McCartney song 'Something' ... favourite Beatles song 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' ... ... haven't got a favourite Oasis song ... ... but Hey Jude alone would eclipse anything and everything I can think of by them ... and still rings around footie grounds in its' various guises to this day ...
He's not going into Talybont, he's in a newish building right in town, near the station. I hope they're OK. Or at least, those he shares a kitchen with are. Bound to be an oddball or two though!
Turn our Mrs Chief and her mate are colluding for us to go! If they get tickets fine, it's a night out in Cardiff. Will have to add hotel to that as no ****ing way am I enduring the train back. I wont be contributing to the ticket queue though, I'll be heading north next weekend right at that time. Hope they fail!
It was more a time and place thing for me with the first 2 albums and all the Brit pop stuff, fond memories of gigs and beer gardens singing away to the tunes. When I look back there's not that many albums I like anymore and I preferred the Stone Roses, Charlatans, The Smiths and the band's that came before Oasis and Blur (who's music has stood the test of time much better). On reflection as I've said before best album of the Oasis Blur Britpop era was Pulp - A Different Class..
I've given Mrs luv a flat no. I'm off to see Oh Sees again in Bristol a month before and will be getting a hotel there so not spending on Oasis as well.
In other news, I've had a driving without due care and attention notice as an angry cyclist with a helmet go pro has said I went too close to him! The self entitled **** deliberately moved out as I was passing, i remember it. Some people are determined to complain about something. It's fair to say they can **** off.
They've sent me two photos, which prove nothing. When I read back the original letter, it says 'considering' a charge. I've got to contact them, it'll be a warning of some sort as I can't see how they can legally prosecute off the back of a cyclists claim. So will deny if it comes to it, yes.
Last time I saw Oasis was in Sheffield around the Heathen Chemistry album. Which was OKish, after the abominations of Be Here Now and Standing on the Shouders....., which I never owned. It was a good gig tbf, so she probably remembers that and fancies seeing them again. We'd had a little white dove each mind. She's probably forgotten that bit! 22 years ago that.
There's no law about how close you can get as far as I'm aware, if you didn't cause an accident then what are they actually fining you for? And how can they use video evidence from someone's Go Pro anyway? Very confusing.
Have you been to Asador in Cardiff? Highly recommended for when you are there. https://grupo44.co.uk/asador44/
This is something I've never heard of before. This is the problem with all these cameras and this shhite is just going to get worse. I've never had a camera in my car, but I can see everyone having to have them soon to protect themselves from ridiculous claims.
it would have been like my favourite band releasing an album called Glenn Hoddle Thankfully Glenn went on to humiliate himself without any help with that Diamond lights single
1.5m is considered the safe pass distance. they did about 100 motorists here a few years ago in a morning with the police out on bikes. I cycle and can’t be certain I always pass at 1.5m. But never close enough to have someone worried. There are a few cyclists who go out to cause grief, I just want to feel safe.
