Think that is his one big weakness. He not only makes everybody else look nervous. He actually looks nervous.

However on other aspects he is by far our best goalkeeper so I would happily stick with him.

Still the most of any of the European Leagues but it’s not a bad thing if the PL starts to panic it’s going to lose its global anttraction and changes its PSR rules.

At home it's less of an issue but I'm sensing other clubs have figured out that if you press Newcastle they're food and drink.

The rest of the world has been learning how to play a certain way and Newcastle aren't able to progress with this keeper imo.

He needs replacing when the opportunity arrives.

It's a shame because like you say he's excellent at half a keepers job these days.

The global attraction came when Sky got involved. Before that the Italian league was more popular globally.

The rules were brought in by UEFA to stop the English clubs dominating in Europe. **** knows why the PL followed suit. They would probably quote what happened to Portsmouth but they could have stopped that with a proper test of the owners.

The league is becoming more and more dull in every way shape and form. They'll keep peddling it for a time and eventually they'll form a super league. They whore out the competitive nature of the Premier League, but in truth everything they do in the background is designed to protect the order.

If the sponsorship and PSR rules are removed or altered significantly they'll use that as the catalyst to get support for a super league.

The super league is inevitable at some point.

Not sure I agree that's it's inevitable. It's certainly a possible outcome but if it comes in it's more likely to replace the Champions League than the Premier League. They'd need to grind the fans down enough into accepting the want/need of it before it could become a thing as most of the match going fans seemed to not only be against it but willing to actively shout against it. Football is steeped in history, change is mostly an evolution rather than a revolution.

Also, the environmental impact of things like a super league will be questioned more and more by future generations to the extent that it may well be less likely to happen in 30 years time than it is now. I think if it doesn't happen in the next decade or two then it isn't going to happen ever (or at least until transport becomes non-emitting or negligible, which will probably be after our lifetimes).

The last paragraph is mainly the reason why a super league won’t work.

But PSR is definitely there to maintain the current balance.

That's all the super league ever was which was about cementing the big 6 in the big money forever.

I'm not sure why, but there's still to this day people that think they intended on leaving the Premier League because they say things like 'let them go' I don't think they even understood the reason behind it either.

currently under the rules the big 6 will be happy because those rules all but cement them in Europe anyway, but if the rules are defeated by city or they're drastically changed in a way that threatens them I suspect 4 of those clubs will start sucking off perez again.

It's also worth pointing out that it was city and Chelsea that pulled out first and they're the two big 6 clubs being backed into a corner... if pushed far enough perhaps they'll rejoin the 4s plot.

Only that involves qualification and currently an opportunity for other investors to compete for that money. (Albeit very difficult under the rules)

Without the opportunity to get that money there would no longer be any point in other clubs chasing it.
