The fact that we are going into the last few days of the window only losing Clarke is remarkable.

after we reliably told that

Patto
Ballard
Alese
Ekwah
Jobe
Neil
Rigg
Roberts

were all going to go as well shows you how well we are being ran and that, maybe, I said maybe the model is starting to work
We were never going to lose all those players, all the negative stories seem to appear when we have bad run like last season, then disappear again when things are going well

Exactly mate, deadline day could turn out to be good entertainment ...

... what I'm looking forward to most is the sight of rivals either losing important players, failing with last minute signings they expected to nail or panicking and doing a 'Will Grigg' <laugh>
Aye I’m going to sit with a crate and watch it all unfold, expecting mendy to rock up to the academy at some point :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I reckon ideal world we bring in a fullback that can cover both sides, a central midfielder that can defend but isn’t necessarily a defensive midfielder as such, two forwards, one a proper centre forward and depending on how RLB sees Wilson the other either a centre forward or left side winger/forward.
Outgoing then plenty might go, Pembele, Johnson, Anderson, Ekwah, Aouchiche, Ba, Bennette, Rusyn and Hemir all at risk. Personally I’d definitely keep Ekwah and would only really look at permanent deals for Anderson, Aouchiche and Ba only if they want to go and Rusyn at this stage if we bring two forwards in.

I’d be happy with us nailing a quality striker at this point and Cirkin staying fit. A goal scoring winger, the serbian cm and another striker would be a bonus but not necessary. We have a load of defenders coming back.
Defensively I’d say we have
RB Hume. Huggins won’t be fit to play this season and Pembele is likely to leave .
LB. Cirkin, if Alese is a centre half we don’t actually a left back to compete.
CB. O’Nien, Ballard, Alese, Triantis, Hjelde. Seelt won’t be up and running until January. Johnson probably out on loan. Given that we’ve played 8 or 9 players at CB in each of the last three seasons due to injury I think the five above is just about adequate, when Seelt is back perhaps a loan for Hjelde or Triantis.
I think we definitely need proper competition at fullback, ideally someone like Huggins that can play both sides. I know we have players that can play there in an emergency but fullbacks have been integral to our good start.

Will Huggins not play ?

Would be class if for once instead of a saga we get a report today of a bid accepted for cannon and he’s on his way for talks but we all know this will go to the final day <laugh>

Also regarding some thinking Cannon is injury prone, he isn’t. Just had one bad injury

You must log in or register to see images
let it fit the narravitve for some that we dont buy or if we do they are injury prone
