No idea. He was actually a Yorkshireman, and came to Argentina to support Scotland because England didn't qualify. His nickname was "Nuts n raisins" because he'd heard food was expensive and took a big bag of them. In fact Steak and chips was really cheap.

ELFS' BRASILIAN TRAVELS #2 14th July 2024 Nautico 4-0 Figuierense (Serie C) Pictures part 2 Venue / home town: Recife (again) Ticket: 50 reals (£8) Attendance: Approx. 7,000 Badge / programme: unknown Beers: just one probably Very nice weather granted that should be a given I think these pics give a good feel for the place...
Guvnor. I bought a badge for £2,50 in the very well stocked club shop, no programmes as over here they are not produced anywhere to my knowledge. This was probably the best ground I have been to, untouched with LOADS of character. On the same site you can see a basketball court and swimming pool, with a board as well! The away team were shocking, and the goalkeeper was beaten by three goals from around 20 yards out. I hope we don't sign him
Should of gone to the local derby of Whitstable V Faversham - could of got you a free ticket and prawn sandwich
Ticked off Salisbury today following my once local team, supposedly high-flying Borehamwood. Dismal game finished 2-1 to the home side unexpectedly. Classic little non-league ground totally in the middle of nowhere which was the only negative.
Yeah got chatting to a bloke at half-time who said the now dead chairman owned all the land around where the ground is so built one. Away end is just an open terrace but two of the home ends looked quite good for the level.
There was an ‘away’ end with its own bar but a communal smoking area between the main stand and away end. The last time I watched this level going back some years you’d swap ends at half time but I guess with some bigger teams in the league bringing good numbers it’s less common.
Yes incredibly friendly people in the city and at the ground. Some unnecessary aggression from a small minority of the tiny away support but just kids being kids. Tan topped up nicely too.
It felt like the sort of place you’d struggle to find a simple lager amongst all the real ale and 9% cloudy ciders but there’s always one somewhere.
