    So he went with no intention of winning the game? Doubt the fans will be happy ( Not that they are anyways ) after wasting money to go and see the game then..

    The match should be replayed, but with Blackburn thrown out and Newcastle taking their place.

    You know, just to preserve the integrity of the competition.

    From a PR point of view that's a massive bluner (again) from Kean. Why he used the word 'forfeit' I don't know. Surely he should've just said that the league was his priority but he felt that the players he bought in were more than capable to win the game?

    Didn't he put out a poor team against a top club as he didn't think they'd be able to get anything from the match and get his players back for the game against a 'lesser' team.

    Think that was it, but they were squad members still (what use are squad members if you can't use them?), and he didn't just concede the game as Kean has.
