The article I read showed the Prem trophy with City's pennants on it, but as they have won it so many times this could mean nothing
How has the ref not sent Joelinton off there then. Clotheslined the keeper round the neck as he’s running forward. Horrible challenge and no surprises it’s David Coote in charge…
It’s mental that when you look at rugby which is a far more physical contact sport than football but lifting an opponent off the ground and any tackle that touches the head is an auto red card. Yet football, somehow they seem to think only fouls on the foot/leg is a red as tipping an opponent mid air is never properly punished despite the fact it could do far more damage than any kind of impact tackle.
I'll say this on behalf of the late, great Astro - David Coote is as bent as ****. The 'handball' goal was bad enough, but I primarily blame VAR for ****ing up that one (surely they should have recommended he go to the screen if they thought they'd seen something he hadn't?), but the Foulinton chokehold was a sending-off in rubgy, never mind in football, and it happened right in front of his eyes. Your reminder that Coote was VAR for the Virgil-Prickford incident. Simply not competent to referee at this level, but Webb will be on next week telling us that black is white and the PGMOL have it all in hand. Corrupt swamp of vipers.
I've said several times in the past that I don't think Coote is bent, I just think he's useless, out of his depth.
Looking abroad, Bayern scraped a 3-2 win against Wolfsburg in Kompany's first league game. If I were a Bayern fan I'd be worried that Kompany's tactics wont win them the league. It's the same stuff as with Burnley, even with better players if your team tactics leave the defence too open your going to concede goals.
Same scoreline as Leverkusen, who only got their winner in injury time. You might be right, but it seems too early to properly tell. And conceding goals will probably always be an issue if you've got Upemacano and Kim at the back.
Usually, I'd say you're pet goldfish could manage Bayern, but I guess Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen are considered a threat after last season...
Bayern only finished third last season - Stuttgart finished second. No-one seems to expect them to repeat that though.
Club should stop subsidising their travel and away tickets until they bother to support. Why go on that trip if that's your attitude. Why not let someone else go and enjoy the day? The supporters club should actually be going to these guys and telling them not to bother showing up for any more away days. It was spurs away, what did they expect? Pickford threw two in for son but otherwise a 2-0 loss wouldn't be unexpected by anyone.
Be interesting if there was no barrier, police, or security staff there and that balding, fat, middle-aged gobshite actually got his hands on 6ft+ athletes like Brantwaite, Pickford, Keane, etc. Not sure it would end as well for him as the gallons of alcohol obviously consumed would lead him to believe.
RIP Sven. Thoughts and prayers are with his family. It was great seeing him get his dream of managing Liverpool (Legends) and his joy at how much it meant to him.
