Nothing will change until the selection nonsense ends. The problem is they'll be straight back in vs Spurs. The manager seems to be actively identifying the ****test players at the club and picking them as much as possible in certain positions.
Probs the same as yours and that we were **** But are we going to dwell on the fact and spend the next 3 days pissing our pants about it no sireee got another game in 3 days time where some will give 100% backing and some will just be damn right negative as always enjoy your evening
Same as last week. Thought we looked very sloppy, aren't pressing anywhere near to the same extent we used to, we look like we have a lack of ideas going forward and and at times look very lethargic. I thought Longstaff looked very poor again today. However, as I've said Christ knows how many times, Until a load of players can come through the academy and remove him from a European squad, they won't get rid of him. In essence he's here for a long time so no point in destroying the kid online.
That's fair enough but why is it ok for other players and managers to get criticism? I'm actually always the type of guy to credit when it's due and vice versa and I do repeatedly say he's a nice lad that tries hard. The problem is anyone can try hard... I'm not hating on anyone I just don't think he's a good player. He wasn't good enough for Ashley's Newcastle imo. Anyway no point in me banging on and on about it because he will be starting vs Spurs no matter what I think.
There's a bullying element going on here at the moment with a number of players. Longstaff, Murphy, Burn, Miggy and a number of others. Constantly seeing things like why they still here? Answer is simple, Longstaff is required for European squad quota's, and there is currently nobody else fit enough to start in his place. Miggy/Murph can't win at the minute - Start Murphy, he plays ****. People complain Miggy should have started. Miggy starts, plays ****. People say Murphy should have started. Same with Burn. Guy came here and did brilliant for us. Yes he's had some ropey moments, but he is a far far far better defender than Lewis Hall. Yet people complain when he starts ahead of Hall. Hall is a left winger/midfielder who can't displace Gordon or Barnes - That's the simple fact of the matter. He's having to learn a new role and a new position, he's going to make mistakes and its going to take time, but some of the comments on here you'd think he was a world beater. Not picking on you in particular but you hang onto the fact that last week he made one goal line clearance - he did, and he did well in that moment. What you don't seem to mention is the amount of times he lost the ball, and the amount of times he was turned inside out and got rinsed last week. Or more alarmingly the amount of times he simply wasn't there because he'd gone way too far up the pitch. Same with Tino, he's done well when he came into the side last year but he's not the finished article. He's at the point where he should be competition for the first team starter to keep them on their toes. He isn't quite at that stage where he should be automatic first choice for a team wanting to finish top 4. He's making quite a few cock up's currently too if we're being honest about it. Despite his goal I don't think Gordon looks himself at the minute either. I'm sharp getting to the point if Howe want's to mope around looking miserable, Gordon want's to mope around looking miserable and any other ****er wants to mope around looking miserable then they can all ****ing do one.
We need a big signing that just gets everyone excited, it will change everything. Same old tactics, same old players, same old coaches with the same old boring rhetoric is just going to cause a rot to set in. Nothing specific about Newcastle, that's just football. We as a club will realise it when we end up midtable and scrambling about. Then we won't make this mistake again.
I'm sure the unsung heroes aren't the issue, but it's a tough world and they need replacing. There's a few of them.
Back on Wednesday, hopefully changes things up. Just a shame the man in charge of recruitment last year didn't do due diligence
Shearer thinks the goal should have stood. He can **** off and support the mackems tbh...talks utter ****e and doesn't seem to like Newcastle.
